Two top 11 defenders in the regular rotation?

Nice!
when is the last time we had that?

Never?

Also, if Nas had stayed healthy and sustained his play, he wouldve ranked as a top 50ish overall defender, at least according to RAPTOR. His grade was comparable to guys like Jrue and Dort. Winslow graded favorably as well.

Also, Hart is now slouch. If height is no longer as important as it used to be in this league... which it isn't, we have things on lock with the starting lineup and the bench at all guard and forward spots. The big question is can Drew Eubanks be the backup big we will need in certain situations. If the answer to that question is yes, I think this roster is going to be fighting for a 4-7 seed. If that answer is no we could be in the play ins. That isn't taking into consideration any impact from Shaedon and he could have a huge impact.

hard to gauge a stat that is behind a paywall...unless you pay...which I won't
Me neither. But you can look at the current year without paying. I haven’t found a detailed description of how it works either.

Notice how Cronin has mentioned Chaunceys way of playing when announcing both signings. Don’t remember that happening with Olshey and Stotts

Funny.... I had just started watching this video.

Does anyone else watch his defense and think, "you're not getting away with that on the Blazers."

I kind of lost interest in the Blazers around the time I did a 40-year analysis of the Blazers vs the Refs, and found we were consistently 1-2FTs lower than our opponents for every season, and the only time we were 1FT above our opponents, we went on a 13-game winning streak that ended when Detroit's head coach complained about the refs, and then we were right back to 1-2FTs under.

We are the whipping boys.

just out of curiosity, did the signing of GP2 actually put them in the hard cap situation?

I can't find any confirmation of that being the case, and in fact, what I have read showed that the team is still under the hard cap amount.

I think once we realize that the league will never let us win a title, everything will be okay :sigh:

You should send that analysis to the Blazers...

The Blazers are hard capped. That they have a couple million under the hard cap as opposed to $0 under the hard cap doesn't change that.

interesting. Spotrac also has the last year as a player option.

Also don't know where Spotrac got the number, but it appears Sharpe's deal is also juuuust below the max allowed amount.

this gives us almost exactly the same amount of room under the apron as the RoCo TPE (highlighted), before signing Walker. This is if we stretch the Bledsoe deal. Does anyone know how much of Bledsoe's deal can get offset if he signs elsewhere? @hoopsjock ?

So the set-off amounts cannot be deducted until the end of the season, so it won't impact our numbers in the immediate. Would impact our tax implications at the end, but nothing to do with our current targets.

You have to figure that the absolute most that Bledsoe would get would be the Taxpayer MLE. So, $6.5M - $1.8M Vets Min)/2 = $2.35M max savings?
