WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. NO.

Trail Blazers Broadcasting is undergoing a dramatic facelift.

Mike and Mike are out and Antonio Harvey will not return as part of an overhaul of the Blazers' television and radio broadcasts, The Oregonian/OregonLive has learned. The only on-air talent coming back for the 2016-17 season is Brian Wheeler, who will continue as the team's radio play-by-play voice.

The changes signal a new era in the faces and voices that bring Rip City its beloved Blazers basketball.

Mike Barrett and Mike Rice have been the face of the Blazers' television broadcast for 11 seasons and a fabric of the organization for far longer. And Harvey, who played with the team for two seasons, has served as the radio color analyst the last 11 years. But the trio learned Wednesday morning in meetings at the Moda Center that the organization has decided to reboot its broadcasts to add new life and a fresh perspective at a time it is negotiating a new television contract.

So only Wheels back? I can see removing 1 each from Radio and TV but 3 total seems like too much turnover.

Edit: I now see that Wheels will be doing Radio alone next year. Still, not having even 1 TV guy from the year before who knows the system and players will be interesting to say the least. The new guys will have no one to lean on (doubt Wheels is much help for them).

Fans won't like it!

I dont think its that fans wont like it, it's that it kind of came out of nowhere.

Think about it... they just had shirts made 2 years ago. Theyve been together for years... it's really odd.

The two of them have kept me entertained while watching some awful-mediocre basketball over the past decade.

I love Neil... and I love the way the roster is being run, but frankly I think the business side of the FO is trash.

First the bullshit where they started regulating press access for websites, and now they fire 3/4 of the broadcast team. I wonder if HCP got the axe as well? I don't think these guys give a rats ass about the fans.

The absurd ticket prices weren't a giveaway?

I'm armchair quarterbacking but I'm guessing that the next announcement is that as part of the new TV deal there will no longer be any Blazer Broadcasting, it will all be done by Comcast Sports NW.
