We should have never let go of Mikki Moore in the first place. He was really becoming a great scorer. We don't need Magloire, Sean could do all the things Magloire could do but better. With Krstic and Carter sucking this year, Jefferson is the only scorer we have left. He's averaging 6 points in Sacremento right now, but he plays much better with Kidd then their whole team.

Anyone have regrets about us not offering him more money?

no, but I have regrets about him not taking the money he was offered to be on the Nets, a better team than the Kings. but, his choice not mine obviously.

No. He's not worth anywhere near the amount of money Sacramento paid for him. If he really wanted to be here, he would have taken a pay cut like he said he would.

Mikki Moore - decent shooter, poor rebounder. He isn't worth the money SAC offered. No regret here.

Poor defender, poor passer....wow, why not just have Malik grow out his hair?

Wow, last year we all loved him in the JBB Nets forum. I guess lots of opinions have changed.

Yeah nobody hates him. He made our season actually entertaining but I'd rather pay Magloire one year rather than lock up a D-League feel good story.

I guess. I thought people might have chnaged their minds with the struggles we are currently having.

Mikki Moore is no better than Malik Allen.

Not at that price. Thorn made him an offer, he decided to cash it in. Personally, this is a business, he did the right thing in going after the money. He worked hard, and take into account the Jkidd effect, he owes JKidd part of his deal. Contract wise I don't want him back.

He did good things for us, but was a virtual revolving door on defense. Even with him back on the team and minus Allen we would still have the record we have at the present moment.

Malik, Mikki, Nenad.. all jumpshooters who if there shots are falling can outperform each other on any night

I like Mikki, but he would have been a chemistry problem waiting to happen in lieu of Nenad's return.

If he was here than there would be even less minutes for Sean Williams and Boone...that would not make me happy.

Can you tell me the reason?

If we kept Mikki, he would definitely have taken the minutes from Sean and Boone. I would have thunk Magloire, but Magloire hasn't played much. The only other wild card is Frank's trust in Moore in situations where Krstic had sucked, but that wouldn't have resulted in more than what 5-10 minutes more, so he would have eaten into Williams and Boone's minutes.....given that Moore's signing would have put us over the tax, we would not have pursued Magloire.

If we had Mikki right now, we can play Mikki + Sean.

They would be a great combo....

Mikki seems a hard worker and a great, down-to-earth guy. He has a lot of energy and passionand is nice to root for. I wish him nothing but the best, and I'm very happy for him that he parlayed his opportunity into a nice contract. But, in light of the NBA's salary cap restrictions, it isn't realistic to afford him. To be honest, my happiness for his success and his rewards outweighs my wish that he could play for the Nets at a much lower salary. If this was baseball, and there was no salary capand my team didn't have any internally imposedmonetary restrictions, then my answer would be different.

Mikki deserves a standing ovation when he next plays at the meadowlands, and I hope he gets one.
