Quick RecapThe Nuggets started off well, with K-Mart doing strongly and picking up a block on Brand himself early to set the tone. The Nuggets held off and had a small lead after the first quarter. Early in the second, however, Kenyon Martin hit the ground and didn't get back up after driving into the lane. It turns out he strained a quadricep, and will miss 2 weeks. The Nuggets struggled to find a good lineup until the 4th. With Nene, Najera, Melo, Blake and Spree, they surged back. Enter Iverson and Smith. Smith had 6 4th quarter points, Spree kicked in 2 and Iverson kicked in 4 to combine for all of Denver's 4th quarter points. The main late game player was JR Smith. Flying up and down the court, he did all he could to hold onto the lead. With 3 seconds left he was the only one on the court to spot the wide open Quinton Ross. Smith was all over Ross, who after the game said he was sure it would go in, and blocked him to win the game.Game QuotesGeorge Karl, post game: I definitely think that we came into this game more prepared than they were. That said, they played a strong game and are playoffs probables. .... I do think the Nuggets are contenders. Iverson will add feistiness and some toughness. Sprewell's been to the WCF before and can add experience.Trade Rumor? Rumor has it that Melo might be out the door in a potential trade for T-Mac.

Nice threads GJ. I can't believe you have the patience to play an 82 game season.

lol I won't play them all, just important ones. I'll sim the rest. And keep yall the updated stats/standings after each month.

Denver NewsNovember WrapupDEN- As the month of November winds down, multiple questions remain as to the Nuggets' remainder of the season, and post-season hopes. Rumors continue to swirl around Carmelo Anthony as well as Allen Iverson. However, they weren't the first to be moved. PF Jamal Sampson was traded to the Knicks for Kelvin Cato. As GM Jenkins said; "We didn't want a player locked down for that long that we weren't going to use. I know it was minimum wage, but I'd rather pay more for a player that produces. Plus with Camby out, we had to pull the trigger and get a backup center."Who, then is the next to go? With Denver's recent 0-4 streak, and with Camby out, things aren't looking good. Latrell Sprewell has become a massive cancer for the team, from calling out coaches to calling out players to saying the team has 'no f*cking shot in hell at making the playoffs', something he said after their most recent loss. The number 1 rumor flying in Denver is some sort of deal sending Latrell Sprewell to the Clippers, and getting Corey Maggette in return. "I love Maggette's energy and I think he's the player that could most benefit out team," GM Jenkins said Thursday.Reporter BCB said that 'one thing is for sure, this team is going to have to deal either Melo or Iverson at some point. Sooner rather than later is preferable.'

Looking good... Cool that your taking the time to right this up and all. I will deffinately keep reading.

GJ, I could've scored close to 100 in 6 minute quarters. I play like the Phoenix Suns do: straight "run 'n gun" all day, baby.

Update: 12/20 (real life: 2/13)Well, the Denver Nuggets have really been keeping the trade wire hot. Wheeling and dealing left and right, all that's left is to see if it pays off with a playoff run. Their record sits at 13-10 midway through December, and with Kobe on the team, more wins are certainly expected.Rumors? Nuggets Coach George Karl seems not to be coming back after the current season. Says GM Jenkins, "I just think we can get someone better. George isn't sure if he wants to return anyway, and may even retire."Another rumor has it that Carmelo Anthony could be on the move since the Bryant trade. "We'll have to see if they can share the ball well."Lastly, there is a big jam at the PF position. Swift, May, KMart and Evans aren't going to get the minutes they want. "Probably either Swift, KMart, or both will be dealt."

Kobe's First Game: A Huge Success!!!Recap- The Nuggets started slowly, and were leading by just 4 going into the second quarter, but then it was over. Kobe Bryant, the newest member of the Nuggets, blew up for 10 in the quarter, and finished with 28. From then on, the Nuggets played flawlessly. Another new guy, Stromile Swift, chipped in throughout the game, and Corey Maggette contributed late to seal the blowout, including 1 big block on Eric Piatkowski, and numerous eye popping dunk attempts, as the Nuggets rocked the Suns, 102-73. Highlights early on included Marcus Camby posterizing Amare Stoudemire, only for Amare to have 2 other big dunks in the game. The game had at least a dozen dunks total, and the fans got their money's worth.Stat lines of the night:Kobe Bryant, 28 points, 5 reboundsCorey Maggette, 20 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocksCarmelo Anthony, 13 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assistsSteve Nash, 9 points, 8 assistsRaja Bell, 19 points, 3 assistsShawn Marion, 10 points, 5 reboundsQuotes:Mike D'Antoni: "They just outplayed us. By a long shot. They dominated this game. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Western Conference Finals."Kobe Bryant: "I'm just enjoyin' myself, man. I'm adjusting to the cold Denver weather, but the team is great, and stronger than the Lakers by far. I'm expecting a Finals run this year."Rumors: After the game, GM CJ Patterson hinted that Kenyon Martin is being aggressively shopped.Pics:New Guy Kobe Bryant Warms Up

To think Kobe would be in Denver and how much you hate him you get him in your video game?

Nothings wrong with you BALLA.

I don't hate kobe near as much anymore. I don't hate his game so much as his attitude and his team(the lakers), and since there's no attitude in the game and he's no longer on the lakers, I'm cool with him. I hate DWade more now.

Jim Rome ShowRome: We are here with recently acquired guard Kobe Bryant, now of the Denver Nuggets. Kobe, your new team is winning, your old team is winning, which would you rather be a part of?Kobe: The Nuggets, for sure. I don't like the Lakers any more. What they did is unforgivable.Rome: You're still leading the league in points per game, doesn't that show how good you are? Isn't that enough proof that you're the leader of whatever team you're on?Kobe: Well, not necessarily. I'm probably the best player in the league, but I like to share leadership, and I'm doing that here in Denver more than I was in Los Angeles and it's working out better.Rome: What's more surprising, the Knicks leading the Atlantic, or the Hawks leading the Southeastern?Kobe: Haha, probably the Hawks, just because you'd think the Heat and the Wizards and Magic would be doing better. But hey, crazy things happen all the time, we'll see if they can keep it up.Rome: Is the chemistry clashing?Kobe: Um... not really. Not too much anyway. We're all still learning our roles, so it's a learning process right now. But this is a Finals team, for sure, and I like our chances.Rome: One last thing: Who's better, you or Dwyane Wade?Kobe: Hahaha, me, of course.

December RoundupThe Hawks got hot, the Knicks are steaming, and the Nuggets, with recent acquisition Kobe Bryant, are on a tear. The NBA is heating up! Unfortunately, there aren't many teams that are surging and taking a definite lead in standings, it's mostly .500 type level play out of everyone.
