I'm up for it, but I thought you lived in the Capitol?

Meanwhile, his competition is learning how to play with Oden in Tualatin, while Miller takes it easy for the summer.
Good for Steve ... Miller on the other hand already knows how to play.
Did this guy say that Andre Miller is a downgrade?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????? Good lord!
Did this guy say that Andre Miller is a downgrade?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????? Good lord!

In the big picture he's most certainly a detraction/distraction/delay in filling the PG spot with someone who will be here long enough to lead our promised "Dynasty" for as many years as the term implies.
The Blazers seem to have fallen to temptation and traded their dynasty for a premature shot or 2 at the title.
Either that, or they have decided Steve Blake is their PG. It's clear Nate prefers him. He does exactly what Nate wants from a PG.
If that's the plan, Miller makes sense as a vet backup to push Blake for a couple years.
(Don't tell anyone, but I would rather have seen Sergio as our PG.)
Me, I like the all style no substance.![]()
I like this a lot better than what he said before, about the 54-win team and such. He's well within his rights to say it's Blake's position going in, but that the rotation may/will change once camp gets going and "starting" is just a term for who plays the first minute of the game."Blake will be the guy as training camp starts," McMillan told The Portland Tribune. "I've talked to Andre about that. He understands that's the role he'll be coming into. I told him and I'll tell everybody else, we will come up with the best rotation for the team to give us a chance to win games. I don't want starting to be the big deal for this team. We need a balanced rotation, where we can best take advantage of what our players do. The bottom line is, we'll go with what works to give us the best chance to win. We don't need to get caught up with who is starting."
Ah Nate, so fickle and yet so loyal, an enigma wrapped in a riddle. Who am I kidding, Nate for godsake don't tell us who is gonna play until you really know. Last year you dealt a blow to Nic's ego and disrupted chemistry gained in practice by starting Outlaw. Miller is gonna start and I think Nate is starting to realize that. Miller is more talented and just a plain better player. Let Blake become what he was destined to be, a backup PG. It's the future and Bayless that worry me. In my mind there isn't much question that Miller is going to start come the season opener.Bumped.
Today there was a Trib quote from Nate:

I'll happily give Nate props for giving a fuller, and more logical (to me, anyway) answer to the Blake v. Miller question.
