Making a list of qualities to look for in a GM instead of actively pursuing trades and free agents. Why the fuck wouldn't they do this before trashing KP? What the fuck did that "head-hunting" firm do?

not to pick on you, but some posters are just unbelievable in not accepting that they're outside the loop and always will be. The last thing I want management doing (or expect to see) is them letting us in on more details of what goes on behind the scenes as fans are already batshit fucking crazy over with what little they do know. Letting more info out isn't going to help them achieve their goals. I'm sure they've got a list and are involved in a process, they just aren't spoon feeding Quick his favorite tabloid baby food so he's upset that he's left to look like a fool doing his usual blind speculating act (thanx ABM for not giving a heads up that it was a Quick link I was clicking ). I don't need to know where they are in the process and who they're targeting, my only hope is that at the end of the day they hire a competent guy

The team is already stocked. With no GM in place trades/FA signings/roster moves are unlikely. No mo real drama for us... oh woe as me

What, are they waiting so the new GM can jump out of a big cake with sparklers and an Uncle Sam hat on July 4th? If they have their guy, get it done and get on with the summer.


I will say that the obvious incompetence displayed by Larry Miller since Thursday would be a hell of a smokescreen until the big reveal.

I'm not holding my breath, mind you. But it could be true. And if Larry is just a bad liar, that could explain it.

Larry Miller has a great relationship with a lot of NBA players from his days with Nike. If we are contacting any free agents, I'm sure having Larry call them is just as good if not better than any GM.

You guys actually believe he was "showing up for work" at lunch time on the day of the draft? Really!?!? He probably got to the practice facility at noon, after being at his office by the Rose Garden all morning.
