I think that Imaginary Cap Space got the Cap Genius fired, Pritchard took exception and got into it with Allen and it just went downhill from there.

I meant the timing of the firing was a business decision. We don't know why he was fired, but the fact that the blade swung today makes total sense.

It makes one jagged and untrustworthy themselves. As a result, they'll treat the public with less and less kindness and respect that has continued to deteriorate ever since Paul Allen took over ownership. I'd rather not have a TrailBlazers team if it means Paul Allen owning it, and I've had season tickets for 12 years. This crap gets old.

100's of thousands of "former" TrailBlazer fans already left because of the complete lack of class shown by Paul Allen over the years. You can't explain class to someone who doesn't appreciate. Most TrailBlazer fans with integrity have already left the fanbase.

How can you just pull out a huge number like that and then state it as fact? I doubt you'v even talked to 10 thousand blazer fans in your life and to say that 100's of thousand of former TB fans have decided to not watch and follow them because of Paul Allen... Were did you find this information out, or did you just magically make it up?

Fuck Paul Allen. People bag on Trader Bob for not sitting on his hands, which some say cost us winning a championship in the late-90's, early 2000's. But he was just doing what seems to be modus operandi of this organization. Irrational and Impatient. Fuck off, Paul Allen. Some people may give you a pass for being the wealthy owner of the Blaers, but not this fan. Stay out of things you apparently know nothing about. But good for you - you rode Bill Gates' coattails to billions.

Since everyone's speculating now.

Here's why I've always thought was their biggest difference of opinion.

I believe that Kevin Pritchard doesn't think Nate McMillan is the Coach who can get this team into the playoffs. I think that Kevin has a very different philosophy for what it takes to win in the NBA than Nate McMillan. (Kevin likes guys like Batum and Bayless and Rudy, who can put pressure on the team's ball-handler, is smooth in traffic, can get to the hoop and get to the free-throw line, where they might turn the ball over a few times, but the complete pressure they put on their opponents outweighs the turnovers. Where, Nate likes guys who stand around, shoot the three, don't take risks. One type of basketball is fun to watch, while the other is boring.)

Paul Allen loves Nate McMillan, and when Kevin Pritchard's brought up the idea of getting another Coach, there was a clash there. Nate didn't play Bayless and Batum as much as Pritchard wanted him to, and this probably came up at meetings.

One of these two guys had to go....McMillan or Pritchard. I always thought, and hoped it would be McMillan, but it was Pritchard, and the reason is that Allen loves McMillan.

As "reported", I don't think it has anything to do with "who gets the credit", as there's no credit to be gotten. We still haven't won a playoff series.

Kevin Pritchard was fired because he wanted Nate McMillan replaced, and instead of replacing McMillan, Paul Allen fired Pritchard.

You can try to discount this idea, but I feel I'm 100% correct about this.

I spoke to someone with the Trailblazers, and they said KP was indeed in the war room. At least a while ago. This person has been a friend of mine for 10 years

Any time was going to be a bad time, for sure. I think a lot of people think the biggest way Paul Allen could embarrass Kevin Pritchard was to do it as close to the start of the draft as possible. One hour before the draft was pretty close. It was complete intentional disrespect to do it the way Paul Allen did it as far as timing. But, there wasn't a "good" time.

They sound super down tone of voice wise. Wheels sounds like we are in the middle of a fourth quarter getting blown out at home.

That said a lot of rush to judgement going on. We don't know why PA fired KP or who leaked the news nor why. Let's see how things unfold. Awoj is wrong elite GM's know they only have two years under PA and with PA's wallet. Awoj is fucking schizophrenic from venomous hate of Kp to defending him against PA WTF?

Having been born here in 1959, having walked every single street of this City at least once, having gone to TrailBlazer games on a regular basis since 1972, having an excellent pulse on this City, and what they think, having spoken to 1000's of "former" TrailBlazers fans and being able to multiply that by those in the public whom I haven't spoken to, I can honestly say that 100's of thousands of TrailBlazers fans in the past have left and not come back. There's 100 thousand alone that don't live within 50 miles of this City, who are no longer fans of the TrailBlazers since Paul Allen took over. The first mass migration was in 1993 with the building of the Rose Garden. How long-time TrailBlazer season ticket holders were treated by the Allen group was insulting.

You need to understand how many people there are where personal integrity is important. If you remained a fan of the TrailBlazers during their JailBlazer days, you don't have personal integrity, so you can't understand it by those who do. You could if you try really hard.
