I was looking forward to the draft. Now, it's going to be just another boring draft. Nobody's going to put their job on the line by risking making a move that "might not work".

Larry Miller is a spineless piece of shit for not resigning immediately. If he had any balls, and if he was actually competent as an administrator, he'd feel confident he could get another job elsewhere. But since he hasn't any balls, and he isn't competent as an administrator, he's going to hang onto the Paul Allen gravy train, and screw the fans of Portland, allowing Paul Allen do whatever screwed up job he wants without any adverse comments from his President of Basketball Operations.

You don't need luck Kevin wherever you end up. Where you go, winning will follow.

Two things. First, no trade was going to save his job. This firing was personal.

Second, Larry Miller wrote and sent that letter.

@chadfordinsider Pritchard will still be running the draft per Quick. He should select Omar Samhan at 22 before Paul Allen can stop him.

I'm upset because I think he is a lot like Nate, near the top of the second tier of top GM's and Nate is near the 2nd tier of coachs. Unless you KNOW you have a top GM, don't get rid of him. If they hire one of those top GM's, I still think out of respect, they could have waited until tomorrow and let him leave right away. Having him work and take calls on a important day IMO not a classy thing to do.

1. I am very curious as to exactly what KP did to piss off Allen so much because this is obviously a very personal firing.

2. They aren't going to move the team to Seattle because it would hurt the bottom line. You don't alienate the Portland fanbase and dollars because you don't want to lose it, especially while in Portland you still have tv rights in Washington and Idaho.

Nice trolling, MM, but I've read the agreement between the City of Portland and the former OAC. It's ironclad. The Blazers are going nowhere.

That basically means just Ferry, and no thank you.

Doesn't really matter, though. Whoever they get won't be as good as Pritchard.

And Ferry reportedly declined to interview citing his previous amicable relationship with KP.

It's a business decision. PA owns the team and wanted to fire KP but did not want KP to go to another team before the draft was over. Makes sense to me. I like KP and would have been happy to have him stay, but if he is going to be fired, PA did the right thing, giving KP a chance to make a big move and save his job and since that did not happen, keep him just long enough to not hurt the teams draft plans.
