Milo put the target on his own back, no one did it for him. He says outrageous things to provoke a reaction. That's his entire act. That's what he's known for. Eventually his own mouth was going to get him in trouble. It happens.

Read about George Carlin's career. Said (for the time) outrageous shit. Some of it people didn't like.

All comedians and performers do this shit. Lena Dunham said some stupid shit, Amy Schumer did, Sarah Silverman did it:




Bill Maher, George Takei.....


The point is, it's fake outrage from people, drummed up to destroy Milo, because he's a part of Breitbart and close to Bannon and thus Trump.

Milo said something dumb. It's up to him to recover from it.
 
He apologized. his whole schtick was being "unapologetic". So yeah, he's got nada.

That's my opinion on the matter.


What I do hate is the one sided smear campaign coming against people like Milo. @SlyPokerDog Bill may have gotten fired from ABC for those comments, not sure did he? If he did, good. Now let's see what happens with the rest of the people I've named.

Now if you guys spent half as much time on Pizzagate as you did eviscerating Milo, we'd likely get some real movement on the real pedo's out there.

Sure. But saying something outrageous is not what got Milo on the hot seat and we all know that. He got labeled a pedo by many people, even people on here. These same people likely wont bat an eye at the previous transgressions from many liberal performers/comedians joking about the same pedo shit.

No dude, that's your spin on things.

Again, Milo has made a career out of being outrageous and saying outrageous things. One of the things he said came back to bite him in the ass. It happens. He will find other places to speak at and other publishers to print his books. If you like what he has to say than support him.

OK. Fine, we can agree to disagree. But, would you agree what Sarah Silverman said was outrageous, what George Takei has said was outrageous? Would you agree that they should face the same treatment? Just curious.

I personally don't think any of these comedian/performers should have faced any backlash. Anyway, as post #123 said, I guess we shall see if there is a double standard out there.

The recent shit with Milo I don't think was right but nobody can really put themselves in his position. He was molested as a kid, says it helped him. Sounds fucked but in his mind and others shit like this happens and they view things differently. I completely don't think he advocates for pedophilia. That's just ridiculous over the top takes by the left. I like Milo. He says some shit I disagree with but dude makes good points and he is not the monster the media makes him out to be. If anything the regressive left is kinda stuck because this is a gay jew who talks about having sex with black dudes, not much they can say. If anything that Berkeley riot showed me was that these people screaming fascism are the actual fascists. Taking away freedom of speech, destroying shit. It's weird. But hey welcome to 2017
 
Well, if it makes you guys feel any better--if this weren't happening to Yiannopoulos, he'd be absolutely fine with you piling on and saying some nasty shit about that person, or doing it himself. There is something mildly bizarre about pleading for tolerance about a provocateur (that's from the original Sanskrit for "troll") who has never had any tolerance for the concept of tolerance.

I absolutely have sympathy for any abuse he may have gone through. I have very little sympathy for him being raked over the coals for things he says.
