I have no idea what Kahn/Adelman are thinking/doing. I don't know what Chicago wants. Korver is due 5 mill. If he's bought out, he'd count for 500K on your cap. If the Wolves traded something like Wes Johnson and Wayne Ellington for Korver and a 2nd round draft pick, and then bought out Korver, sure the Wolves would have to eat that 500K for this year, but Kahn would clear up millions in cap space.

A S&T would be better, but if Portland just wouldn't do one.... than what option does Kahn have?

Just a thought anyways.

I doubt the Wolves are trying to trade for Korver to keep him. Budinger is already penciled in as the back-up SF. You aren't bringing in Korver to start at SF and you're not bringing him in to be the 3rd SF either. SG is going to be Roy and Shved, with Budinger possibly getting some minutes there.

it "could" work like this...assuming that we HAVE to match Nic first and it's a 4/45 deal:

26.558M is already set for LMA, Nolan, EWIll, Smith, Wes and Thomas
1.045M for S.Williams' stretch buyout
Assuming Nic got a 4/45 deal (even if it's "toxic", the cap numbers are still the same) the first-year cap number would be $10,538,642
Rookies and cap holds (including Freeland) would be 6,222,700, putting us at $44,364,723

Max offer to Lopez would be 13,668,750, leaving us $10,527 under the cap. We could then sign Freeland for the "room" exception...instead of being 3/9M it would be 3/8.073M. But we could pay 500k of his buyout. And we'd have to sign Claver to a rookie-level deal, which he can say "no" to and make us use cap space (because this is entering the 4th season since he was drafted)

I only jumped in on the banning last night because there was a lack of mods online and I happened to be on. With whats happening now I will leave it up to the actual Blazer mods and respect their decision... but hint I'm with you on your quoted text above :cheers:

if your only view of this site is the last few days, you would have to be a moron to think that this is how it always is around here

the minny forum here prolly has 1 mod, who goes there every 2 months or so

We have not banned anyone for posting views about the Blazers that we don't agree with.

And no you won't be banned for your post.

We're very friendly and laid back here. We have very few rules in all of SportsTwo. There are many sections on SportsTwo devoted to all different sports. You are welcome to post and even take over the Timberwolf section of this forum and make it your own and/or you can continue to post here. We don't mind the smack talk, just remember no personal insults to other members and no posting dick pictures on the site. Anything besides that we don't really give a fuck.
