Please refere to post 834 and tell me the 22 teams MIN is going to be better than. I'll wait. However, if Love and Rubio go down with injuries, they're a lotto team. Even a 0.8% chance of winning the lotto is better than the 0% chance that they beat out 22 other teams' records. It's not that tough, and it's not "total bullshit".

C'mon Brian... Minnesota with Batum has a greater than .8% chance of making the playoffs, which would make their chances of winning the lottery 0%.

that wasn't the argument. The argument was this: I say there is NO WAY, ZERO PERCENT CHANCE that they win 54 games and get a 23-or-higher pick. Therefore, even if there's any chance at all that they make the lotto, even in the worst position, there's still a 0.8% chance they get the #1 pick.

but there is a way. To say 0% is ridiculous. You say IF everything goes wrong, they can end up in lotto, then you can say IF everything goes right, they can win 54 games. I'd say we have a better chance of getting pick 22, 23 than pick 1.

Keep in mind that they would still have Derrick Williams.......... to trade. I still think he holds alot of value and who they get for him could change things.

That said I agree that they would also be a couple of injuries away from a very bad record if their roster stays the same. Yes I know that is true of most teams, but if they put all their eggs in the Rubio basket and he breaks down, they are in trouble. He just does not look like a guy who will last a full season.

No, I'm saying that if everything goes absolutely perfectly and everybody makes the leap and nobody gets hurt, THEY STILL AREN"T WINNING 54 games! How is this this difficult to understand? I'm saying if Kevin Love becomes the best PF in the League and Rubio magically improves even with his ACL tear and Roy and Batum do what they're expected to do, THEY STILL AREN'T WINNING 54 GAMES. But if not all of those things happen, then they're going to be in the lotto. With a chance at the #1.

Well you're just wrong that there's 0% chance, but whatever.

Neither seems very likely and If I'm giving our second best player away I'd like more than a #14 pick and Kyle fucking Korver.

What's interesting is the team that has long coveted Batum has been completely silent in all of this. You'd think with the possibility of a sign and trade available that San Antonio would being trying to put together an offer for Batum.

Oh wait, I forgot that San Antonio is being run by people who know what the fuck they are doing and would never leak shit to the media like Kahn does.

that's nice. so would I. But that's not what people have been saying. They've been saying "two high 20's picks and korver" when in reality, it's closer to being a #1 pick and cap space than "2 high 20's picks and Korver". I was just refuting that garbage.

There is no factual way to say it is closer to top pick than one in the 20s

Just heard (Bucher) say that the Wolves offered many different packages and each one was rejected.

It's safe to say Paul Allen has his heels dug in.

Yeah, that is surprising to me too. Maybe Batum thinks Ginobli plays the role he wants to play and so he is looking for less competition.

Your opinion of the future doesn't count as a mathematical certainty, so I'm afraid you haven't refuted anything.

Signing the offer sheet kills any chance of a sign and trade right? wrong?

Fine. Whatever. Your opinion is that MIN and MEM will both be in the top 7 in the league this year, and I don't think that's remotely possible. One of us will be idiots in June.

I wonder if Minnesota is going to hold a News Kahnference?

Well I guess Minnesota wasn't full of shit. This game of chicken is pretty fun, no?

You guys should make a bet. Beers, money, wife swap, something!

When did I say that's what I think will happen? Didn't I just get done saying neither seems very likely? And now I'm an idiot if they don't make the top 7?

Stay off drugs, Brian.

I've met Brian, I don't think he's ever taken an aspirin. He's not the mod on drugs around here.

So I guess the thread needs the question mark put back? Better yet just change it to "Minnesota Stupid as Shit?"

Change thread title. NOT full of shit!

Now Portland has to decide if they want to cripple their franchise for years by matching, or letting him go. Not a bright move by Olshey me thinks.

anyone else think it's funny that Haynes is the only one tweeting this? Not Nic, not Ndaiye, not Khan, not Jaynes, not Bucher...

Around $11m is what a lot expected he'd get.

"Crippled" :lol:

Desperate words from a desperate Wolves fan.

Cripple? For years? It's a 4 year deal.
