If he thinks he has the swagger to beat out the other guys for minutes...that's a good thingI want Bennett. Let it be a dog fight for minutes. Let the best man win.

Exactly.I want Bennett. Let it be a dog fight for minutes. Let the best man win.
Every aspect of his game improved, significantly?View attachment 5989
Our definitions of "significantly" are far apart.More minutes, more points, better FG%, better 3pt%, better FT%, more RPG, more APG, more SPG , fewer TO, fewer PF.
"Dog fight" implies a close/interesting fight, it won't b any of these things, Vonleh wins uncontested.Let it be a dog fight for minutes. Let the best man win.
I think him and Meyers would fit well at the 3 and 4, with Meyers as a floor spacer and Bennett posting 3s. If they wanted to guard Bennett with a 4 and Meyers with a 3 Meyers could post, and Bennett could space.Triano and Vanterpool are the reason why he (apparently) wants Portland.
This move would set up another move IMO. But I think it would be important to keep Kaman as a mentor to all the young frontcourt players. He was huge for Leonard last year.
Now, how do you develop Bennett? He's clearly undersized at PF but has an above average post game and shown the ability to hit the three - a big SF ala Jeff Green?
Or could be that I'm completely wrong and we're just not TANKING HARD ENOUGH yet
IF we see Lillard traded for Kobe... I think we know what the plan is!Or could be that I'm completely wrong and we're just not TANKING HARD ENOUGH yet

Wow, I wish wet had this guy back!!
When does the waiver period end?
More minutes, more points, better FG%, better 3pt%, better FT%, more RPG, more APG, more SPG , fewer TO, fewer PF.
The waiver period is 48 hours, and always ends at 5pm Eastern. (Coon CBA FAQ #65)
Even if Bennett doesn't beat him out, it might help accelerate Vonleh's development by giving him extra incentive to work hard and prove that he's the one who deserves the minutes.
Possibly. Or, if Vonleh is already motivated enough then it could just cut into his minutes and provide a distraction. It could cut either way.
I wouldn't be disappointed if we lost out on Bennett, much rather the oppositeThat is a possibility and because of it I will not be disappointed if we lose out on Bennett. But if I had to lean one way or the other.....I would roll the dice on adding Bennett to the mix.
