i thought it kind of sucked. Usher, Stevie Wonder and Brook Shields stood out though...but the rest was kind of whatever. they should have let the crowds be around Staples....would have been more of a tribute. just seemed so bleh. not the historic event i thought it would be...although people are watching it.
 
that was nice at the end with the daughter and brothers...very emotional
 
what was up with Magic Johnson and his fried chicken story? wtf?

it was a bonding experience?

I think that all the retarded celebrities that have been tweeting sobby bullshit all day could easily donate enough to cover the cost of the funeral. If they really care as much as they "say" they do, and it's the biggest historical fucking thing ever, then open your checkbook. Your state is collapsing.

You know I love all the JUDGMENTAL people here who just KNOW that Michael did what the MEDIA said even though charges were dropped and the family only wanted money wierd.Also for such a Pedo, he is the ONLY PEDOPHILE that I know of that has 40 charities and did TONS of charity work all across the world but why would we talk about that its not drama!

I mean seriously if you don't have anything to add to the conversation other than BS remarks just take the negative shit elsewhere. That's the problem with the world is people always have something to say, maybe for once just sit back and actually not say anything.

My wife and I watched the (recorded) Tribute last night. I was amazed by all the tributes and incredibly complimentary remarks that were said about him -- from fellow entertainiers, to friends, clergy, politicians, world leaders, and family alike. I had no idea the positive impact he had on so many people, Nor, had I realized how many charities Michael had been involved with, and heavily supported....both, with time and finances.

Say what you want about his personal life, but he did do some very positive things for this world we live in.

Listen I wasn't in Michael's bedroom but IMO he was a big KID, if you ever get a chance watch Jackson 5 and realize what a douche bag his dad was. Michael NEVER had friends growing up other than brothers and I think that's why he acted like a kid. Michael cared WAY to much about people and KIDS. I just think some don't REALLY realize what he did for hospitals, fans, kids, Africa, and more in charity work..

One thing I noticed there was nary a mention of his father, Joe, during the tribute. I think there's a connection there, somehow.

Yeah, Micheal catapulted deep into space. However, I still stand by my remarks that he did some remarkable things for the world as a whole. He might very well have used his financial (and even time) resources in counterproductive ways.
