I can see the rule implementation, either way, prior, or now, (after clarification by the rules committe), as creating their own headaches. How long before a ball bounces off a open glove, before they call that an out? Either way, a dilemna, conundrum.
Bums game last night, guy beats out an infield hit. Looks like the ball hit the glove before the runners foot hit the bag, but the glove didn't close yet and control the ball, looked like it popped the glove. Originally ruled safe, challenge upheld because the runner beat the controlled catch. Were gonna see this alot.
