I had to go off the meds for a while because it made me lose my voice, but I am on different ones now, so fingers crossed

The reason this is not OT is because I would like to explain my stance on a few things

1. Leonard
I like Leonard, and think he has the chance to be a decent scoring center, as well as a decent rebounding center. I'm not sure however if he will ever be the rim presence we need though in the playoffs. It's till really early, but so far in his young career and in college he was never an intimidating force in the middle

2. Draft pick over playoffs
Obviously making the playoffs would be great for the team, and if they did it would be very exciting. However, I still feel Portland is a few pieces away from being a serious team, and in a small market the best way to add those players is through the draft. Either to keep or to make a lopsided trade with.

3. Hickson
I love JJ's hustle, and think he is an elite rebounder. He could certainly help us next year off the bench, but I feel if he is our starting center next season that would be bad. I also feel that if he is still on the team after the deadline that his minutes should be cut back to make room for both Leonard and Freeland to see if either can be a factor for us

4. American born white centers and players from Syracuse
I realize better than any of you that these two philosophies are silly. I also realize that it is not 100% surefire, like anything in life. However, in most cases drafting those players in the lottery has given the team that drafted them less production than what they were expecting. Assuming the meds work, and I don't need to stop these as well, this should not be a topic going forward

I hope I have articulated this better with the meds.

Welcome to the board, MM 2.0!

Hadn't noticed, really, so good for you MM. Maybe it's just that I agreed with some of the takes.

Probably when it was opposite week. I like to do that every once in a while in the forum so I don't get too bored

I agree! Far too many sticky threads.

And the Timbers, Ducks and Beavers links should be moved to the OT section. The Blazer page should be more basketball, less BS.

So...THATS how you're getting rid of me...

1. Interesting. I think Leonard can be a force on defense and become a very good rebounder. I don't think he'll ever be too good on the other end of the court.

2. I agree we're a few pieces away, but they can be good pieces instead of great pieces!

3. Uncertainty*Contract Size seems smaller for Hickson than many free agents.

4. All Centers underperform, not just white ones.

I'm somewhere over Minnesota at 35,000 feet and started laughing reading this crap! MM is such a attention whore!

When is The HCP 2.0 going to start taking his new meds?

I always wondered what that little yellow face with a hat means.

WHat does the yellow guy with a hat mean?

Yes. Pimp.

The doobie is of course for medicinal purposes only.
