Apparently he' wants to be their old Jason Terry now that Chandler is back and Dirk is resigned. Mavs holding out until Melo decides what to do

Yeah, I mentioned that in the FA thread. I wonder who we will sign as the back-up if he signs with the Mavs.

I keep telling the Blazers I'm available but they never call my agent.

I think i'd rather have him back than Blake. Maybe that's why the team leaked the Blake news to Chris Haynes, to make the idea of Mo coming back seem good!

What sucks is Patty Mills getting $4mill a year for 3 years. Mo is a much better backup and is now thinking he should at least get that much.

gotta think mo could start over fatty felton down there. might get north of $5 mill. when playing with superior talent as in cleveland and the clips(compared to our bench and utah) mo has proven he can defer and not dominate the rock.

Devon Harris will be available for a stick of gum and a broken guitar string and the nets just put DWill on the trading block

I think they'll waive Felton if possible or buy out his contract. Replace him with a D league pt guard

More power to him if he can get more money.

gotta figure that would be an upgrade at the point.---really liked idea oh d.harris coming to Portland when rumored before trade to NJ. don't know how injuries have changed his game but lightning fast and VG d were his calling cards. ^'#" too I think was mentioned.

Blake, Ridnour or Hinrick would all be solid options. I wasn't a big fan of Mo last season so feel like I'd almost like to see a different player in that role.

Mavs just re-upped Devin Harris. I suspect that puts Mo back in Portland.

It almost seems like Dallas is going to offer Mo there MLE for 3 years once Melo has commited to somewhere.

We dont have to use BAE for him. We can use non-bird rights and re-sign him starting at up to $3.7mil

Speaking of BAE, compare Mo to the PGs we could sign for BAE. I think Mo is better for us.

I have a pack of Juicy Fruit and an extra set of 12s that I'll gladly donate. You know, since the Blazers always have to overpay. ;)

Max we can re-sign Mo for with non-Bird is 120% of his $2,652,000 from last year, with 4.5% raises, over 4 years.

Yr 1: $3,182,400
Yr 2: $3,421,080
Yr 3: $3,659,760
Yr 4: $3,898,440

Total: $14,161,680

I read in another thread that storyteller said he can get 3.1 mil for non-bird rights

Go Blazers!

Oh boy, hope we don't offer that many years

Yep my bad 3.1. Dallas now has Harris and Felton under contract and a lot more holes to fill to add another PG of the caliber.

I think you can pencil out Mo to Dallas with Shilly's news. Would Dallas want a vet 3rd or 4th string PG at 3+ million a yr for multiple yrs?

This is good news for the Blazers
