Assault rifles suck ass. I only use sub-machine guns, you move must faster with them while aiming.
ACR is probably the weakest gun in the game.
That's why you use Stopping Power as one of its perks. It may be weak, but it's incredibly accurate, and with Stopping Power, it's actually a solid gun.
Using the ACR without Stopping Power is like using a B.B. gun. I started using the ACR with Stopping Power after reading this thread and now I acctually prefer it.

B.B. guns hurt if you get shot by them
Anyone else good @ using the Thumper? When I feel like being a jerk, I bust out the TAR w/ noob tubes and the thumper, then put on danger close. Shit, that stuff is like 4 guaranteed kills a life w/o using scavenger. Danger close makes claymores amazing too.
What is noob tube?
Grenade launcher, but ppl call them noob tubes since they're automatic kill most of the time
What is noob tube?
MAG > COD
What is MAG?
It's a PS3 exclusive that allows for up to 256 player matches online. However, you have to get to like, level 10 or something before you can even get to those matches. You're also able to eventually reach a level where you get to command your own squad or army or some shit like that. It's a game that sounds like it has a lot of potential, however, the only way that a game of this magnitude can work is if you get some actual communication with your team. And unfortunately, everything I've read sounds like hardly anyone uses them.
I've heard a lot of good and bad things about it, check out reviews if you want a more in depth look at it. It's something I'd be interested in if I owned a PS3, but something I'd definitely have to rent first.

I've been playing it for about 6hrs now, and personally I think its a bigger game than MW2, not just bigger maps but bigger as a game where you actually have to work as a team, put a lot of thinking into it, etc. Won't allow much camping, and there's no place for akimbos like MW2.
I was able to join the game with 256 players after level 8. (currently I'm level 12)
Thing I love most is that you can buy medical supplies to use in game to heal teammates. It's a sick game and wish more people would get it.![]()
I'd love to play it, but I'm without a PS3. My question to you is do people actually play like it's supposed to be played? What I mean by that is, is there actual squad based strategies in this game, or do people just go off on their own like asshats? I've heard the latter is the more common thing seen in the game, which is what would detract for me.
You would say that, Mr. Playstation. At least MAG doesn't lag, even with 256 players duking it out at the same time. The maximum number of players in a MW2 match is 18 and I can't even keep up with the number of times it's lagged and all those games ending randomly.
It's Zipper Interactive's first ever retail PS3 title released, and a sequel to MAG could have a lot of potential if this one merits enough interest. Sure MW2 has better gameplay, better gun detail, ect. But I personally think Zipper is the future of online gaming. If they could just nail the gameplay next time around, we'll be having something truly masterful if everything goes right.
Remember, they're the creators of SOCOM, which basically invented online gaming back in the day for the PS2. These guys truly have some special servers for 256 players.
You would say that, Mr. Playstation.
He said you be PS3 trollin', brotha. What's that?
