I remember the days when they were developing that. i worked on maybe a gazillion circuit boards. Try finding a short between two unrelated runs in two different layers of a multilayerd circuit board. This is where you earn your pay.

Altium has made pretty good progress and automating a lot of it and the testing is pretty good too.

Last Blazer game I went to (like 100 years ago) I saw @blazerfan11 posting in the game thread a row below @Orion Bailey 's seats and said hello. His wife got a kick out of us nerding out.

I would hope so since those days were some 40 years ago.
Still, it was all the shiny switches and colorful lights, knobs and dials that kept my interest in electronics high.

You know Cup when you use an IP masker to come back to the forum under a new moniker I have a little advice for you:

1. You always have to use it, if you forget one time you're going to get caught.

2. Don't repeat the same behavior that originally got you banned.

I did the 23 & me a few years back, but really haven't kept up with it. It was a saliva test. I constantly get updates that they've added 4th & 5th cousins, or the like. Big whoop.

I’m prolly sharing too much but.........I did the DNA test on Ancestry several years ago. I too get the notifications of 4th and 5th cousins I never heard of (along with confirmation that some of my first cousins are actually related....duh), but about 6 months ago I got an email from a lady a year or two younger who said that our DNA indicated we were first cousins on my mother’s side(???!!!???). Her mother had gotten pregnant as a teenager, eventually married another man (and had more kids) and always refused to talk about who this gal’s father was. She passed away without ever talking about it. As “my cousin” is now in her mid sixties, she wanted to know more about her origins before she dies, so she took the Ancestry DNA test.

I was blown away and thought it might be some sort of scam, but she sent me pictures of herself and her resemblance to my late mother was breathtaking. Of course her mother is gone now, as is virtually anyone who could possibly provide a definitive answer. So all we can figure out is that my mom’s younger brother (a feckless, spoiled rotten hellion if there ever was one) impregnated this lady’s mother and then refused to take responsibility for it (it totally fits my uncle’s.....and my grandparent’s way of dealing with life). Of course my uncle is now dead and his only living (and acknowledged) spawn is is a much more accomplished and criminal individual than my uncle was, so going there for DNA confirmation is a non starter. So we’re in a kind of limbo and living with a lot of assumptions that we cannot easily (if ever) verify.

But.......she seems like a very nice lady, now lives in Vancouver BC and has a daughter who has competed (Equestrian events) in the last 3 Paralympics (the girl has Cerebral Palsy) and who is also an accomplished writer. So my siblings and I have found her and her family to be an interesting addition to our family and we all look forward to meeting once this Covid thing passes.

My sister in law also discovered a half sister she never knew about through DNA testing. So be aware of what you might find lurking out there if you do the DNA thing. Fortunately (flabbergasting as it was) it worked out well for my family and I. I’m afraid to try 23 & Me........it might show me and @ABM to be cousins.......

I had an uncle much like yours. He worked for an uncle on the other side of the family and managed to steal his company checkbook and write bad checks. He was wanted in several states. He joined to Army during WWII and then deserted. He was a horrible alcoholic. Told his wife one day that he was going to the store to buy some ice cream and she never saw him again. He deserted a daughter then. I remember as a little boy I was really into these gasoline driven model airplanes. most of them were 049s had one tiny 029. I was absolutely fascinated with this model plane in the 5 and dime store known as a Fire Baby. I drooled over that plane every day as I passed by on my way home from swimming in the lake. It was way out of my league at $10.00. An ice cream cone was a nickel as was a coke and a phone call. My uncle constantly promised to buy that for me but he never did. Broke my heart.
My grandfather also sired another son whom no one ever knew. My father was the oldest of 8 children but this person would have been a little older than my father.

I'd check out one of these DNA heritage places but I don't know which one is the best 23 and me or Ancestry.com.
