Seems like a good move to me, didn't give up much to get him.

This guy has a lot of upside...and for a second round pick its a hell of a steal...now for some certain OKC players

LOL! Dude, at least Mediocre Man waits 5 mins before complaining about the staff. Threads are merged, sorry for the 3min delay.
Intended as a comment, not a complaint and don't think I was being impatient but..apology accepted..sometimes comments are for the benefit of those who create them so they don't snowball and not at the staff y'know?

We've found a replacement for Lamarcus! At least in the "you know" department.

How quickly could we see him in Summer League, if at all?

We were needing another wing and Olshey got the job done with a 2nd rounder. Harkless is young, athletic, and he's a defensive player needing to work on his shot. Looks like we're building towards a fast break style of team.

He's still only 22. Like I said in other threads, I really think he just needs consistent minutes.

He's got a bad motor according to fans on the Magic boards. Harris ate his lunch when he slid to the SF spot and Mo didn't respond. He sounds like the talent level of Crabbe with the inconsistent play of Batum. The worst of both worlds.

We still need one more skill player - looks like Harkless's handle is a weakness. But I like this! (However, this probably means the death of the KJ McDaniels dream that some have been dreaming.)

This trade is just another ho-hum move in an offseason full of ho-hum moves. Nothing to get excited about, or hate, but for the price, guess the trade is OK.

The real problem is, we only have one playoff caliber starter, two lottery team caliber starters, a few nice bench players that would have been nice to have 2 seasons ago, and a bunch of blue sky. We need another playoff caliber starter, not more bench players and blue sky.

Love the move. It doesn't quite make up for dealing RHJ, but I still think Harkless has untapped potential - like Vonleh, kid just needs minutes. We've acquired a lot of former lottery picks (okay, so Harkless was No. 15, close enough) in recent drafts, maybe Olshey is hoping he'll hit the jackpot on a couple?

It feels like he's going the same route he did with the Clippers pre-CP3. He acquired enough young assets and was able to find a star who was looking to get out of his current situation. I don't think it'll happen in Portland this season, but maybe by the time the 2016 summer rolls around, there's a star ready to bolt and we've got the goods to go out and get em!

Not to complain to much about such a minor deal, but this is the only Olshay move this summer I really don't like.
