More proof that rondo is available?

If Rondo is available, I'd love to see our team make a run at him. The tough thing for us is that they'd almost certainly want a decent PG back, and we don't really have one. Well, I guess you could have Steve Blake play defense and fire up threes while Allen/Pierce ran the offense, but that didn't work so hot for us against Houston. You'd really have to get a third team involved.

Or maybe somebody like Andre Miller is looking for a shot at a championship and is willing to sign on with Boston for the MLE. He'd be a pretty nice fit on that team.

If Miller were willing to sign with them, maybe Fernandez + our pick for Rondo? That's probably not enough--we'd probably have to deal both Bayless and Fernandez.

Which I'd happily do. That's exactly the type of consolidation trade I've been yearning for.

A core of Roy/Oden/Aldridge/Rondo/Batum would be remarkable.

I doubt even that would be enough to tempt Boston - and some Portland fans would have a cow -but I would jump on it.

All this talk about Rondo being a bad guy is based on a couple of quotes about his rookie year. Big fuzzy duck. I am stil waiting to hear anything current/relevant.

One of the subjects of one of them, was the fact that Doc Rivers had to approach Rondo and ask him why all of his team mates hated playing with him.

That wasn't always true. Two seasons ago, before the banners and the plaudits and applause, when Rondo was in charge of a team that won just 24 games, he'd throw a no-look bullet and when it was dropped out of bounds he'd roll his eyes in exasperation. If he set up a shooter for the open jumper and it clanged off the rim, the shooter was subjected to the Rondo stare, a look steeped in disdain and aggravation.

Rivers hauled his supposed floor leader into his office and asked him, "Do you know your teammates hate playing with you?"

Rondo displayed no emotion, but his coach's comments left him struggling to breathe.

"The point guard has to be the guy that brings energy to the team," Rivers chided him. "You can't be the guy that sucks it away. Your moodiness is affecting us. Change it."

Rondo retreated to his apartment to process Rivers' rebuke.

"It was a reality check," Rondo admitted. "I wasn't positive. If I threw a pass they didn't catch, instead of saying, 'Let's get the next one,' I'd make a face. It wasn't what I said. It was more my body language."

I like these threads. Watching 44Thrilla freak out is quite entertaining.

Sorry. It's just hard to believe how ridiculous some of the shit I read on here is.

Nobody is making you read it, and we aren't the source of all the Rondo trade rumors. If you find those rumors ridiculous, blame the source, not us for posting them here.

I'm not complaining, just explaining to Fez why it might seem like I'm freaking out.
