Portland's best bet is to clean house and start building young talent around Zach Randolph.

Not only that, but the Blazers have realized that they can play just as good with quality over quantity, meaning having less good players but giving them better minutes. That being said, they won't hesitate to leave their old strategy of being 3 deep at most positions and focusing on the leaders like Randolph. I think he, Stoudemire, McInnis and Derek Anderson are the guys who will still be strong in the rotation in a couple years.

Knicks management has already tried to make clear that Doleac isn't going anywhere, but if anyone can entice them otherwise, it could be Portland. I'm sure the Knicks would look closely at a deal involving either McInnis or Anderson. Neither is vital to the Blazers: valued, but not vital. The Blazers have Stoudemire, McInnis, Anderson and Patterson to rotate around the 1 and 2 spots, and if they trade Rasheed some can play the 3 as well.
