that was decent, kinda was thinking the kid would grow up to be scorpion instead though

I thought the exact same while watching it. I'm hoping the last two will be the most action packed yet.

Good episode, needed to be longer though. I also liked that they brought in Quan Chi and him pose as Sub Zero and then he and Shang Tsung manipulated Scorpion to their side, so I'm pretty happy they got that angle correct. Overall...solid two-part episode, but I still consider Raiden's episode and the first part of Kitana and Mileena to be the best.

And I hate to break all your hearts, but the last episode is Cyrax and Sektor. So for all of you guys hoping for Liu Kang...tough shit.

I'm a MK noob, so I gotta ask, I thought Sub Zero was the good one?

You're correct, he is.

The story of Scorpion and Sub-Zero was told quite accurately over these two episodes. Essentially, Scorpion gets manipulated in to thinking that Sub-Zero and his clan are the ones that slaughtered his village. They weren't, it was really Quan Chi posing as him. Quan Chi then gets Scorpion to join their side, basically promising vengeance for Scorpion. In the first Mortal Kombat, Scorpion did kill the original Sub-Zero. For all the Mortal Kombats following that one, the Sub-Zero that we now see is actually Sub-Zero's brother, and Noob Saibot is the original Sub-Zero.

The director never had intentions on doing Liu Kang for this series, though he did mention that if the series gets a second season, that he'd be one of the main characters showcased in it. As for why...I honestly have no idea.

hmm, probably to get juice for the second season? if fans know that he will go down that road, maybe they are more apt to clamor for one?

meh

That's my thoughts, too. It's also been a relatively successful series, so I'd be shocked if it doesn't see a second season, or maybe even a movie.

In case anyone was wondering, the season finale isn't coming out until Comic-Con...which is July 21-24. I'm hoping the delay on this episode means they have big news regarding the franchise - preferably a movie or a full-fledged TV show. We'll see...in 6 weeks. Bummer.

Hopefully they'll get enough publicity and money over the first season to make the second season's episodes longer
