Mo's first trip to Portland this season

Like him or hate him, Mo helped us win a lot of games last season and was loved by the players. I hope he gets a good ovation when his name is announced for tonights game. Will the crowd cheer him?

He got the steal and hit three that won us Game 4 last year. We were on death's door. All Jeremy Lin had to do was call a time out and the Rockets would have tied the series 2-2. Mo tips the ball out of his hands, we swing the ball around and into Mo's hands for a three to save us.

Of course he will get an ovation. It's not like he forced his way out of Portland. And he wanted to win. He never gave up, which is fans always appreciate. I'm glad he's gone because our bench is more fluid, but I don't have any ill will for the guy.

he's not evil, and it wasn't his fault that he was empowered to play Bad Mo. Then again, he had a contract to stay with us this year and chose to opt out of it. He can enjoy a million more a year while living with mosquitos, frostbite and Flip Saunders.

I'll put it this way--I'd clap for Jamal Crawford before Mo. but I wouldn't waste the boo (like I would on, say, Turkoglu or Felton).

Well that's not true. We could use MLE to sign him if we really wanted. You can't blame the dude for wanting more money. It's not like he took less to go somewhere else

I don't think mo forced his way off the Blazers, he wanted to sign for more. He simply choose an option in his contract to opt out so he could get more. My vitriol is reserved for players who do sleazy things to force their way off, like not give full effort, say crappy stuff to the media or even just demand a trade. Mo drove me crazy sometimes and I prefer our current squad, but he did nothing unethical or dubious, and I wish him the best.

I've got no problem with Mo. He played hard when he was here. It's not like he was Bad Mo on purpose. We knew what he was when we signed him and got exactly what we expected.

We also got him dirt cheap and he didn't just want more money, he wanted more years. Olshey didn't want to guarantee any of our bench guys a contract beyond 2014-15. So, Mo didn't fit our long term plans. We got both Kaman and Blake while preserving cap flexibility, and Mo got both more money and more years elsewhere. Sounds like a win:win to me.

This is what happens when I don't fact check my posts. I thought he got a second year player option. I guess what he wanted and what he got are not the same thing. In hindsight, I think Olshey was glad Mo opted out as it gave him the freedom to sign players that better suited our needs.

I'm pretty sure you are right. Mo was not a bad guy and he played hard all the time. You have got to give him that. He never laid down and most certainly never disappeared in the game.

Wow. That saved our season. Lillard was amazing chasing down the ball and staying inbounds. Everyone touches the ball on that sequence.
