Just because the team went from unprofitable to profitable, doesn't mean they can't be much more profitable after a later move.

Why would Portland continue letting the Blazers make money off of concerts here in the MODA, if they move to Seattle?!

Because the Blazers would be in Seattle. The City of Portland would take over and make that money
 
What the fuck? I've never understand Portland fans rooting for Seattle teams. Fuck Seattle a million times. That city sucks and the people there suck.

Under no circumstances would I root for the Blazers if they moved to Seattle. I would hate them more than any team in the league. I'd buy a Lebron Lakers jersey and wear it when they would play the Seattle Blazers.

I know many people in Seattle that feel the same about the Blazers. They want nothing to do with them in fandom.

Fuck Seattle. Fuck Calabro (nothing personal, he just is a Seattle legend and they hired him over our own Barrett). Fuck this thread. Fuck the Seahawks.

I genuinely don’t know why people feel this way. Live in Portland now and grew up here. Was gone from junior high through 30 years old. But I feel like an Oregonian more than anything. I’ve never hated Seattle

Seattle fans are pretentious douchebags. I can't count how many times people from Seattle have told me how much Portland sucks. Or that it is Seattles little bitch.

Fuck them. I'd live in Portland anyday over Seattle.

I love the city of Seattle. Just don’t love the homelessness but we can’t exactly talk being in Portland. I think Portland is more of a dump than Seattle at the present.

i don’t hate the city or it’s people. I hate the fact that their sports teams which I have no connection to are shoved down our throats.

The Seahawks? I mean, it’s the closest NFL team what do you expect. The Niners are shoved down Nevadas throats. And now the Raiders I guess. The Vikings probably get shoved down North Dakota’s. I don’t know why it’s so annoying to people. The Huskies aren’t. The Mariners? Why cuz they are on Root sports? I love it

For once can't the Seahawks and 49ers play a preseason game here in Portland or Eugene? I mean if those two teams are going to be shoved down our throats every year can they at least throw us a bone?

The underlying problem with Portland, be it sports or whatever, is an ever-present insecurity and need for reassurance. Blazer fans are as fickle as those of any team, but they take the most pride in being called the best fans in the league. And don't get me started on Keep Portland Weird.

Any other city or team getting attention is a perceived threat to the shaky confidence of locals.

I guess you’re not from here because I have never met anyone who gave even the slightest shit about comparing seattle to Portland. That some weird thing that people from seattle created in their heads.
 
Someone thinking that people from Portland are somehow insecure or envious of seattle is like a guy who drives a Dodge Charger saying that the guy driving the Camry is jealous or insecure. No…. The dude in the Camry didn’t want or need that car. He just wants a fuel efficient comfortable car to get from point A to point B.
