No Country for Old Men? Love this movie.
I just watched No Country For Old Men again the other day. I don't think people realize how nuanced and deep the messages in that film are. It's like a beautiful painting that you can look at it for hours and hours and still not completely visually understand. I went to see the Hateful 8 the other day and it works on none of those levels. The dialog and cinematograohy are wonderful but the narrative is stifled by Tarantino's lack of classical dramatic influences. I know Tarantino is well read, but when your trying to convey deep themes on crime and punishment.... read Doestevsky first dude. You know even Scorcese read Henry James when he wasn't making Mean Streets.I own that one as well, one of my favorites.
>The Coen Brothers always have great writers and scripts. A new movie illustrating their talents is coming featuring George Cloney. I believe it is called Caesar.I watched No Country For Old Men

Yeah. Those guys should be given special awards for keeping the great American storyline valid. It doesn't matter whether it's in Fargo, LA or West Texas. They find value in telling stories that celebrate who we are and where we are going. It goes back to writers like Mark Twain and Stephen Crane. Hell even Tarantino sees value in our culture, even if it's celluloid culture. You can only sell so many comic book movies, folks.>The Coen Brothers always have great writers and scripts. IC is Cloney at his bestNo Country for Old Men? Love this movie.

Major thanks I can't wait!!!!
Rev was an AWESOME movie! This is one I'll get the DVD for when it comes out. It had the distant musical tracks, but only when necessary. They were very short and gave edge to the relevant scenes.Saw The Revenant. It was a good movie, a bit slow at points, but some of the best cinematography I've seen in a movie. The whole movie seemed bigger than itself in part due to the massive wide angle wilderness shots.
Leo did a great job acting the role.
Where's "O Brother, Where Art thou?" Don't miss that one! It's hilarious and the sound track is outstanding.
I'm pretty sure they're just the best. I watched Barton Fink last night and absolutely loved it. Apparently they wrote it in three weeks because they were dealing with writer's block while working on Miller's Crossing.Damn those guys have made some killer effin' movies.
Will Smith doesn't have a cuss in his rap but he sure drops a lot of F bombs in his movies.Concussion. Great film, seriously go see this. Will Smith won me back over with this one. Excellent.
I don't recall one f-bomb in Concussion. Is there another Will Smith movie you might be referring to?Will Smith doesn't have a cuss in his rap but he sure drops a lot of F bombs in his movies.
Usually the only bombs are his movies.... Although I hear decent things on Concussion.I don't recall one f-bomb in Concussion. Is there another Will Smith movie you might be referring to?
