Loved Django, thought Inglorious Bastards was ok, didn't care much for the girl.

Im not a huge leo fan either, but i find him extremely skilled as an actor.

Jamie foxx was amazing in that movie. As was christoph waltz.

Loved Pulp Fiction, Dusk till Dawn and the first Kill Bill movie. Didn't care for Django or the Hateful Eight so much.

That first Kill Bill movie is one of my favorites, it's a shame the second one couldn't match it outside of the Michael Madsen parts.

Saw the Revenant, it was okay, but pretty slow as has been mentioned about that movie.
 
Teddy fuckin Williams knocks it out of the park

Inglorious Bastards was great, so was Django. Don't care much for his other's except for Pulp Fiction.
 
The Witch. One of the worst movies I've seen in years. I was in a great mood after a great trip to Universal Studios, so that wasn't the problem. Thank goodness it was a rental.

I loved it. It was a great period piece and I found it very unsettling. Loved the score and dialogue.

The father and son were ok. I expected Bruce Campbell to jump out with a chainsaw or something. Not impressed. Don't care enough to search out why it was in a bizarre 1.66 aspect ratio.

I'm a big fan of non-traditional horror films so maybe that's part of why I liked it so much.

I thought it would have been better minus the xmen scenes...wasn't necessary
...maybe bring that in in the sequel
 
Krampus was an okay movie, if you have younger kids it would be fun to scare the shit out of them by having them watch it during Christmas.

I think you are right the xmen were kind of pointless the best part of them was when he said this house is so big for just you 2 its like we could only afford 2 cameos.

Brush with greatness: In 1984 I was living in West L.A. There were 5 roommates. One was this guy named Shane who never left his room. "He's writing his screenplay" was the refrain. Yeah, right. Like everyone else.

Turns out it was Shane Black and he was writing Lethal Weapon.

A very fun feel good movie based on the real life story of the British Olympic ski jumper.
 
I just watched a great movie ..American Splendor about Harvey Pekar the underground comic book friend of R. Crumb played by Paul Giamatti and his wife played by Hope Davis...R. Crumb was played by the guy who played Frazier's brother in the TV show...forgot his name..best movie I've seen in a long time for a gritty brilliant film
 
Riverman, I will definitely check that one out. I love Paul Giamatti. When my kids were little he first starred in a kids movie called Big Fat Liar. He was so funny. Then I really learned to appreciate him in Sideways. Love that movie. So bittersweet, funny, poignant. This scene is my favorite - ostensibly he's talking about wine but he's really describing himself:



Did you know that his dad was Bart Giamatti, the baseball commissioner?

I didn't know that....I loved him in Cinderella Man
 
Nice Guys was decent.

Money Monster was OK.
 
Black Mass was surprisingly good. Hadn't wanted to see it because all the pics I'd seen of Johnny Depp in makeup looked silly. That and I generally don't much like true stories.

However, it was very good. Haven't seen a good mob movie in a long time.
