Sure people should have balance but we hear what we hear and dismiss accordingly...if some don't know what they're dismissing then that's just being shallow or lazy

At this point I've seen enough of Trump's gang to be thoroughly disgusted with the lot. I am always grateful that we have a free press here ...China doesn't print anything that would rock the political boat ...we're lucky here

Oh I agree Im not saying the free press is bad though, I think there is something to that some of them chose to abuse their freedom, I hope that doesnt sound too Trumpish. Its not just the off topic stuff even on the basketball side, Trump comes up. I dont post in the OT section a lot just because its so hard to wade through all the political stuff. Im just so over Trump being everywhere... If he wants to resign in disgrace that would be great but I doubt his ego would allow that.

If an editorial was sent to your email from say, Soldier of Fortune magazine and you pass it on, it's a chain email....you cut and paste short story editorials here all the time...what's the mystery? Cutting and pasting articles is just creating chain news feeds anyway. I don't mind a paragraph from an article here and there but the better practice is to post a link with your own descriptor and let people who want to read the link reference it in sample sizes and respond to it....in a normal font if possible....Denny was very clever at these things and he loved to cut and paste. Particularly graphs and polls.

Yes, I know how spam works, which is why I get NO EMAILS FROM POLITICAL SOURCES, NO EMAILS WITH OPINIONS ATTACHED, NO EMAILS OTHER THAN FAMILY AND BUSINESS. Nor do I subscribe to any magazines of any kind, either online or by snail mail.

This is not an editorial either.

It is a fact-only news article direct from the Wall Street Journal, one of the most respected sources of NEWS in America.

Next time, make an adult effort to rebut the facts (admittedly futile in this case) or simply save your triggered breath.

not sure which "this" you're talking about.....but generally speaking you're a Fox news reel here.....huge percentage of your short story posts are Fox editorials or articles. To me they're pure spam.....I have a brother who emails me the same crap...family. Honestly, provoking fake enemies on a basketball forum is about as adult as a 5 year old with toy soldiers. I never engaged the "facts" in your spam feed.....didn't bother to read it...read one you've read them all in my view....I think for myself and express myself accordingly...don't need a NEWS franchise to discuss the state of things ..calm down bucko...you're just not that important nor am I

The ref wasn't to your article...it was to your response to other posters about the article....I didn't call the article fake...I called your judgement of a whole lot of professional intelligent patriotic people fake...I don't have an agenda Maris but you definitely do...you don't want a conversation with me..you want to shout at me. Hence GIANT FONT aggression...I don't buy your conspiracy driven political stance but I like your taste in music and we probably have a lot in common when it comes to loving Oregon and the beauty of it all...there are just better ways to share ideas...the song might be good but the singer might suck and you find yourself turning off the radio

I read the article by Kate Davidson ...it seems they are expanding investigation into the Russian agent's contacts...and Ron Wyden is doing his job...if it's serious and warrants an inquiry..so be it...I don't like bad guys no matter what team they play for ...didn't find an Obama connection in the article though....tried to find some info on Kate Davidson and there's not much there..I found out she did start at WSJ in 2015 and covered the economy and treasury dept mostly...that's her field. I read the WSJ from time to time albeit much less over the last two years...it's a good periodical in my view. What is really wrong with the thread is not so much the article but the title of the thread....very National Inquirer in nature. Obama's Nesting Doll? This is an insult to Kate Davidson who wrote the article

I live a facebook and twitter free existance...this place is the only place I use for social media. If I were rich from either of them I'd sign up tomorrow but they haven't stung me or drawn blood...you missed my joke I guess....I get that a lot.....Rush Limbaugh irritates me but not to the point of crushing him

That sounds like a cool project. I am so bad at building things, I try and fail a lot, give me a computer and I can make it work, give me real tools and Im a bumbling idiot...

I understand computers but I'm just not an IT kind of guy. Give me a computer program. I can fix little quirks in my computer but it takes me time to do, just not my cup of tea.

Sounds like fun.
I remember when I was in my early 20s that my parents bought a house in the prized Council Crest neighborhood. We had a large wooded ravine behind our house. We also had a chicken coup with several chickens. Raccoons got them all, one by one.

I am not much of an IT guy, though I might as well be sometimes... I just LOVE designing and and developing software. Working on software, integrating software packages, sitting down with my favorite IDE’s and text editors thats a heck of an awesome day for me!

Once upon a time, I was pretty good with Motorola assembly language, visual basic, C, C++, visual C and visual C++. Dabbled in Java and Fortran IV. Knew how to write pseudo code and use 3X5 cards to design C++ software. One of my best friends is President of one of the most prestigious software consulting companies in Portland. He and I went to college together in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Now, I'm too disabled to do anything but tolerate constant medical procedures. Dear God, I wish the procedures would stop but they are going to be a life long burden. You can find me up at the hospital extremely frequently.

By the way, I once met Harry Glickman, one of the two founders of the Portland Trail Blazers, up at the VA hospital. He's a disabled Veteran. Had a brief talk with him. It was a real treat for me because I admire him very much.

Im pretty good at C#, C, C++, Javascript, Python. I am just an idiot that taught myself a lot, and then proved to employers I could do it. In title Im a SW Engineer but I honestly dont consider myself that smart, lots of stuff I dont know, but Im looking forward to learning as much as I can. Most of my work has been in Robotics and AI, the rest has been on data visualization using video game engines.

Really sorry to hear about the medical procedures. That sucks, I will have you in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully I get a chance to meet you at a Blazer game or something someday.
