You never cease to amaze me 59, with your timely synchronistic insightful ability to read my mind!

I just got home from a few days at a hospital after having my 2nd spinal Lumbar Discectomy/Fusion and Laminectomy.

In the last week, I've watched 7 hours and 48 minutes of the Peter Jackson Beatles documentary Get Back. Followed by 3 and a 1/2 hours of the Martin Scorsese produced, George Harrison documentary Living in the Material World.

Honestly I've not listened to anybody other than The Beatles since watching both documentaries.

The first movie I saw upon moving to California in 1970 was the Beatles film Let It Be. Get Back of course is >3 times as long and has a tremendous amount of footage never seen by anyone until recently. I always thought the Bobbies Police shut down the Beatles rooftop concert. But the footage clearly shows the Bobbies were pretty intimidated, and did not shut down anything. The new film captures everything the coppers said once inside Apple Studios.

When I was younger my favorite Beatles albums were the White Album, Abbey Road and Let It Be.

Over the last 10 years the trend is reversed and my favorite two albums, are the ones that listen to the most often are Rubber Soul and Revolver (the British version).

I'm struck by those infectious melodies, wonderful harmonies and George's tasty, concise solos. Unlike the post Revolver stuff, they all sound like they're having a lot of fun.

Hey Matts...sorry to hear that you are still having back issues...I know from my own personal experience that it was the most miserable I've been in my whole life. Here's to hoping that you heal up well and are free from pain.

As far as music, although my favs include Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Heart, Eagles, Doobies, et al, it's hard to deny that The Beatles were an influence on them all and laid the groundwork for those who followed them. Lennon was obviously my fav Beatle, George, Paul, and John were all great songwriters.

This still remains my fav Beatles tune;

Thanks!
Once again the 59 Mind Reading stuns me, as I just posted the very tune you posted just now, i.e., A Day in the Life, to a Facebook music appreciation group! Wow, how much do you charge to do a psychic reading? :biglaugh:. :smiley-bowdown:. :swami: :crystalball:

I might have to call you Swami!

The Discectomy/Fusion, and correction of Spondylosthesis, was completely the opposite of my 1st one in 2004. 2 days afterwards I climbed 2 flights of stairs to prove to the Surgeon, that I was capable of climbing the stairs here at home. I also am experiencing only very minor post-op pain. The 2004 surgery left me Uber fkd up for 6 months, and om a Medical LOA for an entire year. If I weren't retired I could return to work within a month of surgery. I am totally blown away by the incredible difference between the two surgeries. I am going to have 1 more Discectomy on my neck, (cervical spine) before this year is over. I was delaying that one because I feared the worst, now I'm very confident and look forward to it. Amazing difference between the two Surgeries and Surgeons.

...always loved this girl's voice (she does a pretty good cover of this classic Zeppelin tune) and needless to say, she's also VERY easy on the eyes;
