^^^Well played, Sir.

By chance, did you see the 60 Minutes bit on the Doobies this past Sunday?

The bogus RnR Hall of Fame should have inducted them in 1980. As all of you know I am a Die Hard Doobies fan. Patrick Simmons is one of my favorite guitarists and I modeled much of my bass style after Tyron Porter. Their my favorite. yankeesince59~So MANY Thanks For Posting. I totally enjoyed that

I think I've posted this video before and it's my fav Doobies tune... starting the 4:15 mark there's a progression of guitar tracks that were gradually mixed in...5 or 6?...needless to say, there's a lot going on there;

This is a Doobies classic written by Patrick Simmons. You should segway this with Rainy Day Crossroad blues *the instrumental part~ at the end

Quite possibly, the greatest live album ever;
.
.

I attended the JB "Running On Empty" concert not once, but three times. Indeed quite possibly one of the better Live albums, (parts of it).
Live On Stage, in Hotel Room and on a Bus as well, a Brilliant Concept!

Right up there with "Live Rust" (Neil Young), and "Waiting for Columbus" (Little Feat).

One of Thee best shows I've been to: October 23, 1978 at The LA Forum.

Also- the very loudest concert I've ever attended. The master sound equipment was cranked way up for Neil's quiet acoustic set, which he opened the show with. Then he switched to electric, and the master board was cranked all the way to number 11!
Robert Hilburn of the LA Times, was at that time the foremost authority for record and concert reviews in LA. He attended the show and wrote the next morning: "there will be people standing in line around city blocks, for a week, waiting to see ear doctors". I'm surprised there weren't a lot of vehicle wrecks after the show, and perhaps there were. After the show we sat in the car for 2 hours until our vertigo was gone somewhat... actually took a week for the vertigo to stop.

"Waiting for Columbus", most definitely belongs in the top three for live albums.

Here's a tune that was very scarce for 20 years. Originally released (only) on the B side of "Go Your Own Way" on a 45 "single" record.
If one did not buy the 45 they could not obtain this single. Of course one could play it in a jukebox in many cases.

Everyone in here should indulge themselves in Waiting For Columbus. It's Tremendous!! That album is in my top ten live albums list.

IMO: The best FM song (without Lindsay Buckingham)

If these girls managed to bring Robert Plant to tears, they must've done OK.

Classic example of a jilted and jealous and psychotic woman who's REALLY pissed off.
