No wonder the right is falling in love with him.Elon Musk 'paid SpaceX corporate flight attendant $250,000 to settle claim he propositioned her for sex, exposed himself and offered to buy her a horse in exchange for a massage'
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...nt-says-paid-250K-settle-claim-Elon-Musk.html
- Musk, 50, was accused of exposing himself to the flight attendant, rubbing her leg and offering gifts in exchange for a massage
- The 2016 incident is alleged in papers signed by a friend of the flight attendant. Other records and correspondence were also turned over by the friend
yes the democrats run on hate. Much better to vote Republican because they don’t have any hate in their platform
Hello, I'm Elon M.
A horse is a horse, of course, of course
And no one can offer a horse, of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the price of a massage
Go right to the source and ask about the horse
He'll tweet out something that you'll not endorse
He's always on an unsteady course
Talk to Elon M.
People yakkity yak a streak
And cause your head some pain
But Elon M. will never tweet
Unless he has something to gain
A horse is a horse, of course, of course
And Elon will make an offer that's coarse
You never heard of a massage for a horse?
Well listen to this
I am Elon M.
The move to Texas is really starting to make sense now...
If that's what twitter turns into it'll be an abrupt end of its run, and it will quickly be replaced by something better.
Don’t agree. And the damage - like giving a thumbs up to things like CIVIL WAR- will be done. It doesn’t matter of the platform drops down in subscribers (I don’t think it will, at all), if the 30m are his disciples and he promotes shit like this, we have bigger problems than the financial viability and performance of TwitterIf that's what twitter turns into it'll be an abrupt end of its run, and it will quickly be replaced by something better.
Twitter is free to allow that kind of thing as long as it doesn't break the law. But it would be suicide to do so. It would quickly drop from 300 million users to under 30 million.
Well, we know something like 20 or 30 million are his disciples, and they already listen to everything he says... He has already attempted an insurrection.Don’t agree. What if he does neither? What if he jumps back on the biggest social media platform, fans the flames, keeps his base or grows it, and runs again….and wins? He is never going to jail. Ever. The only hope is he dies somehow.Well, we know something like 20 or 30 million are his disciples, and they already listen to everything he says... He has already attempted an insurrection.
If the number of users drops significantly it will lose any ability to generate revenue. And if that's what it turns into I will certainly stop using it. As will millions of others...
Trump isn't going to go away until he loses in 2024. Or if he gets put in jail for the rest of his life.
But twitter isn't the biggest social media platform. Not by a long shot. He will die eventually. What if he does neither? I mostly agree with you, but I have to mention... there is a lot of International Law that still hasn't been written. I'm not siding with @calvin natt but I have some other concerns. I like Elon as a innovator and hope he has the earth's best interest in heart, but he could be a super villain pretty quickly too!If that's what twitter turns into it'll be an abrupt end of its run, and it will quickly be replaced by something better.

Completely agree, Musk could easily get to villain status.I mostly agree with you, but I have to mention... there is a lot of International Law that still hasn't been written. Idk if you or anyone here has read this book, but I've linked it before. It's pretty insightful and sort of fascinating?

At least Musk understands that there's a possibility that we fail on the global scale and we need to get to a different rock to ensure our humanity!
I'm not trying to say any of it is okay, but I've seen stuff on my google news feed from various publications along the same lines saying it's a Civil War. Whether it's the hate speech or againDon’t agree. And the damage - like giving a thumbs up to things like CIVIL WAR- will be done. Is there really any reason for 4chan, 8chan, and all that other toxic shit to even exist? Why don't they just DOS those places. I'm sure the NSA/CIA/etc. have enough zero days to do it.Completely agree, Musk could easily get to villain status.
I don't think he's there yet, and I'm not sure he'll get there.
Thanks for the book suggestion. I need to check it out...
I do not think most twitter users want the platform to be more like 4chan, and I think they'll leave if it starts heading that way.
They can't (at least not legally). Social media platforms are protected by Section 230.I'm not trying to say any of it is okay, but I've seen stuff on my google news feed from various publications along the same lines saying it's a Civil War. Whether it's the hate speech or again

Hmmm... Somebody should just take down those servers, imo. I'm fine with somebody breaking the law to do it because honestly, has anything GOOD ever come from them? They can't (at least not legally). Social media platforms are protected by Section 230.

I don't disagree with you, but if it were that easy ThePirateBay would have been taken down long ago.Hmmm... Somebody should just take down those servers, imo. I'm fine with somebody breaking the law to do it because honestly, has anything GOOD ever come from them?
Good point. I'm not smart enough to know what to do.I don't disagree with you, but if it were that easy ThePirateBay would have been taken down long ago.
Then there's always the dark web, which is where people would turn if they couldn't scratch this itch on the current web.
It has, for sure. There are many replacements for silk road and have been for years. You're more than smart enough, it's just a question of if you have enough interest in it.Good point. I'm not smart enough to know what to do.
Kind of unrelated but this has been a pretty wild story over the years... https://www.wired.com/story/silk-road-ross-ulbricht-debt-bitcoin-siezure/
Elon Musk Is a Huge 'Free Speech' Advocate, But If You Criticize Him, You're Fired
SpaceX reportedly fired employees for criticizing Musk, saying it was a “distraction” from the company’s “critical work
Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, is in the process of closing a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter because he was very upset that some people got kicked off the platform for being hateful, disinformation-peddling Nazis. He believes in Free Speech, and he believes in it For Everyone—unless, apparently, you want to criticize him.
At 2:00 a.m. on Friday morning, the New York Times reported that SpaceX had allegedly fired some employees who were involved in writing and distributing an open letter to their boss, Elon Musk. The (now former) employees criticized Musk’s latest conduct, including his behavior on Twitter and the recent sexual misconduct allegation against him, writing that it’s “a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment.”
The letter also asked SpaceX to rein Musk in, writing that the company’s leaders should “publicly address and condemn Elon’s harmful Twitter behavior” and “define and uniformly respond to all forms of unacceptable behavior.” That letter was reportedly circulated on Wednesday, and by Thursday afternoon, a number of the employees involved were fired—though it’s unclear how many.
