… There's something happening here
But what it is ain't exactly clear
There's Elon with $44B over there
Telling me I got to beware
… I think it's time we stop
Posters, what's that sound?
Everybody look, Twitter's going down?
… There's battle lines being drawn
Everybody's right and Elon Musk is wrong
Young Nazi's speaking their "minds"
Getting so much support from behind
… It's time we stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look, Twitter's going down?
… What a good day for defeat (Ooh ooh ooh)
A million people read a tweet (Ooh ooh ooh)
Attacking Jews and they carrying signs (Ooh ooh ooh)
Mostly say, "Hooray for our whines" (Ooh ooh ooh)
… It's time we stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look, Twitter's going down?
… Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
Step out of line, Elon come and take you away
… We better stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look, Twitter's going down?

[inspired by this CNBC story:
Apple and Elon Musk’s Twitter are on a collision course
  • Battle lines are being drawn. Last week, Musk complained about app store fees, which are between 15% and 30% of digital sales, in a tweet.]

So if they take the Twitter app off of the App Store, what does that change? I already have it in my iPhone /iPad

What a stupid gotcha tweet. I'm pretty sure all the Nazis have been worked out of VW by now. I bet Lauren served Fanta and Jagermeister at her bar. (In separate drinks of course, unless you are a monster).
You know she probably drinks Fantameisters. Probably likes Jack and Squirt too.

For a time, I was in awe of Musk and believed him to be somewhat of a genius...and out here in the country broadband was woefully bad, so I waited anxiously for Starlink. Initially, it was $99 a month after paying $500 for the hardware and I was getting 300 MBS with a latency of 30 ms...not bad.

But after only 2 months of service they not only raised the monthly fee by $20, my speed was cut to 90-100 MBS, still better than the internet provider I had previously but it still pissed me off...latency also got worse.

The recent Twitter drama/fiasco thing turned me off even further and Musk has turned into an unhinged wacko...we are scheduled to have fiber optic broadband (2 gigs per second) available in February for less money than Starlink and as soon as the Conexon fiber optic becomes available here, I'll cancel Starlink and sell the "dishy" and other hardware as well as my account on Ebay or elsewhere.

Good call. Satellite will never be as good as a fiber connection.

Good for redundancy if the expense is worth it to you though.

My parents just retired, bought an RV, and plan on doing a lot of travel in the next couple years and I'm thinking about grabbing them one. Not sure how much better it'd be than just a Verizon hotspot though.

I think this would be a great use for it. Totally worth it, IMO.

The supposed big difference in the Conexon fiber optic service as opposed to most others is that usually the fiber optic cable is run as far as the light pole or the house where it then is connected to a coax type cable which then goes into the house and then to a router, and this results in a reduction in signal strength...Conexon on the other hand, replaces the coax cable with another fiber optic cable which is run through the house and connects directly to their own type of router.

...hope it will be as good as advertised...but regardless, in less than a year, for me, Musk has gone from hero to zero.
