I wouldn't be surprised if his plan in acquiring twitter was similar to Bezos plan of acquiring the Washington Post. Control of the narrative.
 
I might have said this, but does anyone else feel like Elon is the guy who never had friends or was cool, became rich and powerful, and is doing things he thinks cool people do, without realizing that nothing could be further from the truth?

Talk about poor execution... It's going to go bankrupt and be off line within a year (maybe a few months?) unless he brings some revolutionary feature to the platform. And shuts his mouth...

So I've tried to follow this and am so confused. All jokes aside, what the fuck is going on? Why am I seeing people talk about twitter is dying and going away? I haven't noticed anything different since this asshat took over.

They get like 80% of their revenue from advertising. Their advertisers are leaving in droves.

If they can't make money Musk could claim bankruptcy, shut it down, and just write it off as a loss.

Might get him out of paying taxes for a few years, which could be the best possible return on his investment at this point.

Totally speculation on my part though.

Because he's bad publicity right now.

Allowing 300 accounts to make 50k posts with the N-word after buying the company was almost certainly part of it.

He posted that absolute hack theory about palosi's husband... Among other things...

It’s crazy. See I don’t follow anything political on twitter. So I don’t see any of this shit. I don’t follow him or anybody that would respond to him really.

Yeah, if you have the self control to be responsible on social media it can be great.

But the problem is the people who don't have that self control are many. And a lot of them are bigoted and gullible as hell.

If Twitter is too much for people these days, maybe forums with a more individual TOS can fill the gap. Most of the political alternatives have flopped, Gab is for Hitler nerds, TruthSocial is for MAGA boomers, Parler already died once. I know a lefty version of Twitter exists too that came up recently (Mastodon? idk) and it sucks ass too. Hoping for a forum comeback.

I'm on Twitter and the best way to enjoy it is to refute a maga, then block them.
