Must Draft Alex Len!

Looking at his frame - with a couple of years in an NBA training regime, adding 15-20 pounds - this guy would be an absolute beast.

We aren't going to get Alex Len. No way he drops to 10.

And if we are trading up to a take a center, SMH. Would rather just get a proven one.

What "proven" one would that be? Of those that have been discussed ad nauseum, I'll just say:

Not.

Swayed.

Taking a chance on Len or someone else in the draft would seem to be cheaper and not eat up cap space.

Walton, Bowie, and Oden are all big men who came in with injury problems and didn't have full careers. Can someone remind me what type of foot injury he has, how long he's had it, and if it is likely to plague him throughout his career??

Honest question here: What does Len have on Gorgui Dieng (besides being 3 years younger)? Here is a comparison of both players (per 40 adjusted).

Dieng - 2pt 53.4%, FTpt 65.2%, Reb 11.8, A 2.5, S 1.7, B 3.2, TO 2.2, WS/40 14.0
Len - 2pt 54.4%, FTpt 68.6%, Reb 11.5, A 1.4, S 0.3, B 3.0, TO 2.3, WS/40 12.1

They are basically mirror images of each other statistically. Len shoots a little more & Dieng appears to pass a little better.

I have seen Dieng play, but have not seen Len play. Based on the above stats - I would personally lean toward Dieng with a pick in the 20's over Len with a top 5 pick.

Big age difference. Len has a lot of room to grow. Btw, Len is a year younger than most soph's.

I think the thought process is because the "proven ones" that are any good are either not available or would take a lot more assets to obtain. (or money)

Who besides DMC did you have your sights on?

A deal around LMA and Vucevic?

Ankle injury. Not sure how long he has had the issue but surgery happened at the beginning of May, didn't notice any issues when he played (didn't miss any games late). Not likely to plague him.

No fight, this dork just hates EVERYTHING I post.
Maybe you should go back to posting pictures of the tissues you masturbate into. That was a real high point for all of us.

I think he'll be a very good player, very good hands, good size and athleticism.

Move along? I suggest you are the one who should take your cheap, vulgar act somewhere other than this board.

Please, I think I've told you before, that if you stop posting here NOBODY would even notice....... I leave the place shuts down. You know that Denny pays me to post here right? To bring credibility and swag to this dump.......You, you don't even register.

Can you guys take it into the bedroom? I keep hoping for content on Len and end up with your drivel. You are both part of the personality of the board. Now quit pissing and say something useful (or not).

I know, I was like "cool so what's new on my boy Len?" Then I read that shit.

BTW: Welcome back Mrs. Magnifier's lesser half.

Oops, not Len content. Sorry. :)

Umm...Swayed!

I'd consider myself a fan of his game as well. I've been impressed with him since that first game NCAAB season - Maryland vs. Kentucky. I posted this in the draft thread after that game, when the hype for Noel was at the "can't miss" level, and I still stand by that post -

Now that we have day one of college basketball behind us, we can start talking about prospects like Nerlens Noel.

I thought he looked fairly disappointing, not only offensively, but on the glass, going against Len. I know it's a long season, but I just didn't see where they hype was. I see him having the potential to be a great player, but from this sample of one game, he looks like he needs a lot more work than Anthony Davis did.

Another player of note from the game - Alex Len. All I've heard all off-season was how greatly he improved his game, and he really showed it tonight - 23 pts, 12 rbs, and 4 blks for the 7'1" Ukrainian.

Hell, Alex Len looked like the best pro prospect in the game. He wasn't just playing like a stiff. He had a way better nose for the ball than I was expecting.

I had sorta forgotten about that game... he really took Noel to school...

It's crazy how a player's "stock" can rise or drop so much throughout a year. I was looking at that thread, and a few posts later, I was saying how I didn't get that Cody Zeller was in the #1/2 pick conversation and that Len was every bit as good. Fastforward a year, and it's funny how teams in that #5-10 range are deciding between the two...

Until Len had his ankle surgery, people were actually quoting anonymous GMs saying they'd take him over Noel.

I agree that he looks promising. I also agree that he'll most likely be gone by 10. The ankle surgery thing scares me a bit more than usual, but I don't think it's prohibitive.

Im all for stockpiling giant 20 year old centers with skill and athleticism , him and Meyers would be a great young duo

After meeting with the Suns, Maryland center Alex Len said he has a meeting scheduled in Portland. Len is injured and can't workout.

Glad to see he is coming to town. I would be pretty happy about getting him. He would also take some time to get ready, but with both Leonard and Len you could mix it up a bit.
