A.) He's a 21.

B.) He's a Junior.

A) He'll be 22 by the time of the NBA draft

B) He missed last season as a redshirt because of Robert Sacre and Elias Harris. It's his 4th year at Gonzaga.

Are you sure you're a big Zags fan?

He couldn't beat out Elias Harris or Robert Sacre for PT and redshirted as a junior at Gonzaga, but he's the next Dirk.

Comedy gold here.

Do you wear these when you type to me

He hadn't physically matured yet and he was an underclassmen behind two future NBA guys.

Your point...

Kevin Love is going to be sooooo pissed when he finds out.

Olynyk is a 22 year-old 4th year college player who did squat before this season. That would make me nervous as an NBA GM who thought I was drafting the 'next Dirk'.

To be fair there are players like Dolph Schayes and Jamaal Magloire (I know, funny but don't laugh too hard - was an All-Star) who were nothing much in College until their final season.

Olynyk's always been talented. The question has always been his physical makeup. He's put on about 30lbs since his freshman year. He was a string bean, now he's got a strong build.

Neither of those guys were "the next Dirk", though.

I'm not anti-Olynyk, either. I just don't see the "must draft" part about his game that will make teams that pass on him regret it.

I'm not exactly sure why this thread was created, to be honest.

The only reason this thread is here is because Olynyk goes to Gonzaga.

So far I've watched the Wazzu, Ill, Okla, UP and Butler games. I'll say this, he has greatly improved from two seasons ago but I'm not sold he's a can't miss prospect at the NBA level. Like I said before, seems like a nice role player but not Dirk-esqe. Guess time will tell.

Turn on ESPN2 and watch the legend of Kelly Olynyk blossom.

I did at half time. He showed more in the Butler game. I agree with.the.report.from Draft Express on him.

lol, you've seen 7 minutes of this game and your telling me that he showed more in the Butler game. Look up his stats for tonight. Efficient.

Meant he showed more in the Butler game compared to the last time I commented, which was against U of P.

Efficiency also means less when he is playing against shorter, inferior talent. I look for skills that will transfer to the pro game. Turned the Clipper/Sun game back on since the Zags game is a blowout.

He'll be a 7 ft Power Forward in the NBA. Almost everybody will be shorter than him.

So you think he will be as dominate against stronger and quicker players? His turnover rate is already high.

Now you're just being nauseating. His TO rate is high? lol.

I do think he'll be as dominant. His game translates well. He'll be a lotto pick by the time its all said and done.
