Re: Dame gives a long exclusive interview with KGW

This is a REALLY good interview. I can't tell who's asking him the questions, but it's very well done. VERY well done.

BTW, Dame is fucking awesome.

Dude... I love Dame. The way he thinks is beautiful.

So far, this is a must watch.

Gotta watch when he watches on the IPAD "The shot".

What struck me is that he hadn't read anything or really seen any of the videos at the time of this interview. I wonder if he's watched any of those videos yet. He didn't even know Parsons was that close to him when he shot the ball.

I agree man. This is easily the best interview I've seen in a long time.

Wtf is he going to say when he wins a championship, because let's face it, it is inevitable(be it here *hopefully* or some where else). So humble after such a huge shot, it is mind blowing. Dude is something special, so lucky to have him on our team!

I'm pretty sure it's the great Joe Donlon with the interview

Fantastic interview.

I hope the players don't feel pressed to publicly appreciate the fans because of all the marketing and pandering to the "heritage" that seems to happen. Frankly that stuff makes me feel a little weird because the game isn't about us, it's about the players. That said, it's super cool to see Dame seem to genuinely appreciate our small town mentality. Even if it's kind of the company line, or part of his brand or whatever, I appreciate it.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound cynical; I just don't want anyone in the equation to be doing something they think is corny just because it's the job.

Great interview. Definitely a must see.

Dame is from the heart.

It's amazing how humble has remained even with the amount of success he has reached in two years.

I do wonder if Mark feels slighted for being called "the guy with the microphone".

Nah; give Dame a few years and he'll know the names of all the staff, from Paul Allen down to the janitors.

...I wonder if HCP put him up to wearing the "Los Blazers" t-shirt?! :dunno:

Anyone have an idea of who he had "words" with? Beverley? Harden?

I'm sure he had words with beverley. Probably not harden, I don't think he shit talked the players much. I'm sure he told parsons to shut his fucking mouth after burying that shot over him. Rightfully so, parsons ran his flap all series and got the ultimate punishment for not being able to back it up.

What a great interview. Dame really is a class act, its so great to have such a humble star to root for.

Thanks for posting that. Great interview.

His reaction was nice; it was a real moment from him. Donlan was smart to try to capture that angle. For a brief period, we saw Dame's "cool" facade drop.

Great stuff. Solid interviewer.

Dame's maturity at age 23 is startling. This guy is younger than me and I can learn a few things from him.

I hear ya, but Dame was being genuine IMO. And that's why everybody likes the kid so much. He keeps it real.

Watched it again. That was awesome.

On when he high fived that fan:

"I naturally go where there is support. If I feel support, I naturally gravitate towards it."

There's a dame good chance we could have a superstar STAY in Portland. I think he has just the right mixture of superstar prowess and not that big of an ego.
