"When everyone _is_ out to get to you, being paranoid isn't going to help."

He posted this one at one point. I have it from the work I had some people do after his PM threats to me.
I made a thread in the SAS forum about the Spurs losing to Memphis and this guy deleted it..lol
yeah shoulda clarified.. that one pulls up but for me pics with family or kids are off limits. If you find the one with him holding the HCP sign though hook me up please!![]()
Not that I'm attempting to change minds here, but my personal opinion is that a guy jumped into a situation he wasn't familiar with and didn't act appropriately. He was lit up for it, apologized for it, and instructed on how not to do it again.
I don't know that Denny and TBF have ever given me cause to think they're up to shenanigans or don't respect the value of each poster and their opinions. A new guy brought from another modship to grow a forum here made a set of mistakes based on his past experiences and was corrected. I'm willing to give him the BoD and let him see how we run things in the Blazers and OT forums, which are imho the most viable and diverse group here.
The work you had people do for you? You had to hire someone to google the name Ben Davis?
This. The guy was apologetic. He learned a lesson. I don't understand why we would ban him.
Ah, then delete it. I thought if he posted it, it was fair to use it.

Bizarro world here tonight. I will say that the guy did PM me your Denver IP address, though.
I have had no experience with this moderator. I will, however, tell you that if you have a moderator who tells posters that they don't have the right to tell him he's doing a poor job because they're just 'you, the regular post' and he deletes over three hundred and eighty posts - that isn't a mistake. A mistake would be trying to give someone a warning for a legitimate issue and banning them on accident. A mistake is trying to edit a post and deleting it on accident. A mistake is trying to move a thread around and putting it in the wrong place or deleting it. You notice such mistakes.
If you send PMs to people which are clearly not welcomed, if you tell people they are just a 'regular poster', if you are in a position of power and you cannot make the choice to stop PMing visitors to the site - then that probably isn't the personality which can handle being a moderator. Especially if they're showing this much of their ass in their first few days as moderator.
For the record I don't care about anyone having my IP address. But this is just stupid.
On April 30th, 2011, I irreversibly deleted 386 threads from the forum. I also closed, and deleted many posts.
dude give it a rest
your always calling out blazer posters like this
nobody else here is afraid of microcock like you seem to be
maybe you should demand all three of their birth certificates

...a guy jumped into a situation he wasn't familiar with and didn't act appropriately....A new guy brought from another modship to grow a forum here made a set of mistakes based on his past experiences and was corrected.
...guys with a lot of experience on other forums know the nuts and bolts of running the software and building traffic, but they have to get used to our way of doing things.
So, did he delete 386 threads, or 386 posts? 386 threads in this forum could be several thousand posts, or even tens of thousands of posts. We usually have a few threads a day that get over 100 replies.

I hired a contract security guard. What a waste of money.
How does a message board discussing basketball always get so personal with you?
Does it matter if it was only 386 words? There was no reason for a new mod to delete anything, let alone then threaten posters with a banning and follow-up PMs. This must be some sort of street theatre stunt by S2. It's not April Fool's Day, is it?
Wow... people get so worked up over having things deleted on a message board. I understand the whole censorship issue, but some of you are taking this way too personally.
I'm just trying to assess the magnitude of his "mistake" and the impact on the forum archives.
