Watching the playoffs it's pretty obvious you need bigs to go far.

Camby is what we've been missing but he's at the tail end of his career. Though, I still think he's going to be very effective at his advanced age.

Greg is coming back from yet another season ending injury and nobody really knows how he'll return.

Here is my fear -- It's hard to get excited or even optimistic about Oden because of the fear in the back of my mind that he's an injury waiting to happen. Every play on both ends, is his knee going to buckle when he lands?

I guess a lot of the fear comes from the lack of information we've gotten from the team about why his body is breaking down. His muscle contracted so hard it snapped his kneecap in pieces. Nobody knows exactly how he injured his knee the first time when he had MF surgery. Though, it did happen during Summer League so I'd guess he just came down awkward.

My snap judgement: Trade Oden while he still has value.

Sell a team that he's going to come back from this. He could come back and be a very serviceable center like how Bowie came back from his injuries with New Jersey. In short, let him break down on some other teams dime. It's time to look for our Buck Williams!

BTW, Him not supporting his team in the Playoffs is angering.

Ah, I forgot it was time for the monthly Fez thread about how Oden's career is finished and the team is screwed. You missed "red flags prior to the draft" and "reminds me of Jamaal Magloire" though. ;)

Maybe he's watching the games from the training table because it still pains him too much to sit behind the bench.

Whatever. I'm just trying to enjoy the best playoff win I can recall in a long time, Greg's the furthest thing from my mind.
