There's an interesting backstory to this group. Their dad saw a palm reader when he was a kid, and one of the things she told him, is that his daughters would form a famous band. So he forced them to form a musical group, even though they had no desire what so ever to do so.

The irony is, 50 years later, they actually are quasi-famous thanks to the internet, and their music going viral for how awful it is.

More fun tidbits: someone is actually going to be making a movie about this story. It's actually a great plot idea.

Only 1000 of these records were ever printed. But they got a bit of fame due to Frank Zappa calling them better than the beatles, and Kurt Cobai named their album his 5th favorite of all time.

To me, this music is like the movie "The Room", it's so bad you just can't stop watching it. It's breaks the meters of badness in so many ways, to such an extent, that it circles around on itself and becomes good in its own way.

Pretty cool. Never heard of them - but I am not surprised Zappa liked it - there are a couple of tracks that sound a lot like this song on Lumpy Gravy and on We're only in it for the money.
