And I will look forward to Whiteside playing against him....I will look forward to him playing the Blazers
EDIT: I'm POSITIVE I will look forward to Whiteside playing against him....For the new Whiteside Blazers, let's aim to recognize talent as it emerges and play to it for the best chances to win. Blazer fans can add to player confidence, an essential element, rather than making disrespectful comments which are damaging and best avoided. Let's be positive!
So the Blazers shouldn't have traded for Rodney Hood last year?Never, ever trade with an inferior team.

I keep telling myself you are joking with us...it keeps me feeling grounded in reality. Otherwise..................Yes, Riverman, I am a Blazer fan. But we have given up a major talent in Meyers that would most likely have taken us to the NBA Championship. Now we will struggle to make it to the Playoffs, and may not see the Conference Finals again soon. The tragedy is that Blazer coaches did not better rely on this truly outstanding talent to average 3 or more swish3s game, which were always available. In the coming season, if Anthony Tolliver can do it, we might hope for the 120+ point scoring per game that will be needed for winning in the Playoffs. Dame, CJ, Nurk, Rodney, and Zach all deserve our encouragement, and hopefully Hassan will contribute to Blazer success. Let's remain optimistic!

Hunter S Thompson was the Fear and Loathing journalist who lived until 2005. That has nothing to do with this Blazer fan, but appears to be your way of disparagement. Meyers is a major talent who had a strong work ethic, brought team cohesiveness, improved significantly, and deserves respect that he too often did not receive on this forum. As I said, let's be optimistic fans.it's almost like Hunter S Thompson gave up what little grip on reality he had, increased his drug consumption, lost his desire to write but kept writing anyway after changing his name to swish3
Meyers scored 5 of 6 swish3s in the WCF Game 4 first half against GSW, and scored an amazing 2.5 points/FGA in that game. It is unlikely that any Blazer will equal that record for scoring efficiency, and that Meyers will have the all-time Blazer record. This is what you must acknowledge. And Meyers was a Blazer for 7 years, and did work hard and improve significantly.
The Blazers have squandered an opportunity to rely on Meyers to score 150+ swish3s in the season and 30+ in the Playoffs that the Heat will now have available. Meyers 30 points, 12 rebounds, and swish3 shooting in WCF Game 4. That is a preview of next season.
HC, Mike Miller scored 7 of 8 swish3s for the Heat against the Thunder in 2012 Finals Game 5, but averaged 2.09 points/FGA. My point stands that no one that I found, and especially no Blazer, has averaged 2.5 points/FGA in finals games. My challenge is unanswered.
And my statement is that Meyers may equal, or even exceed, a high of 30/12 next season, and I think his average may be 20/10 if he has enough MPG and shot opportunities. My view is that Meyers provided more than Kanter or Ed Davis or Zach this last season, and may be a favorable comparison in the coming season, but for the a Heat, not the Blazers. Let's hope for consistent, energetic play and 30 PPG by Hassan in the coming season.
What the hell did he have here for 6 years
So I think weve found who swish3 is...He had a team and a coach that would not figure out how to include a special talent rare in the NBA. I am guessing Pat Riley saw a way. I can.
My question is: Why are you still here then? This post admits you're just a meyers fan, not a blazers fan.
Go to the heat forum. Bye.

Honestly a contract of 5m per year or so actually sounds about right for ML. I think he’s a journeyman 5. That’s a 9-10th man for most teams. Again, Dont hate ML at all, have thought for a couple years he needed a fresh start in a different system, the fans needed a break from the, “this is his year” stuff. I think he has improved. He is a super athletic 7 footer who can shoot 3s. There is no way in the world he does not get another contract.
Dirk scored 48 points on just 15 FGA in game 1 of the 2011 WCF. That's 3.2 pts/fga.Tony Snell took 1 three in game 2 of the Boston series this season and made all of them. He averaged 3 points per FGA which is 20% higher than Meyers in Warriors game. Tony Snell holds the joint record for the higher points per attempt of all NBA players ever. Meyers is not even close.
Lol, Im sorry I was just messing with you.I don't know what to say.
You belong in a pantheon for basketball reference users lol.Dirk scored 48 points on just 15 FGA in game 1 of the 2011 WCF. That's 3.2 pts/fga.
Doc Rivers scored 21 points in game 2 of the '93 ECF on just 6 fga--3.5 pts/fga. Anyone got tickets to his HOF induction ceremony?
And as far as Blazers go--how about Terry Porter's 41 points on 14 fga (2.93 pts/fga) in the '92 WCF against Utah?
This narrative by @swish3 is just silly.

From what I have read over the years @MarAzul doesn’t need to be anyone other than MarAzul.I don't know what to say.
All fans are welcome if they don't continually troll and/or insult people.
Uhhh... ok...Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an incredible set of callouses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail. Plus, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath.
his made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

There must be something that I don't understand about points/FGA, as the maximum scoring possible is 3 points per shot, i.e., number of points/FGA maximum is 3, right? Thus a player making 5 of 6 swish3s and 5 of 6 FG2s would score 2.5 points/FGA. More than 3 would not be possible.Dirk scored 48 points on just 15 FGA in game 1 of the 2011 WCF. That's 3.2 pts/fga.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/199205190POR.htmlIn any event, BBall-Reference shows that Terry Porter scored 41 points on 18 FGA, which means 2.28 points/FGA, not 2.93. Is there a Blazer Playoff scoring better than 2.5 points/FGA?
Yeah, he was great then Portland did him a solid and let him go home and now he acts like he hates Portland...People forget just how fucking great Clyde was.

By all accounts and every time I have ever heard him talk about Portland since leaving he sounds like he hated being in Portland. Totally get his affinity for Houston but he seems to almost hate Portland.Nah, there are just more financial opportunities for him as a championship winning former Rocket.
