Woof

In the gay community, it's an adjective used to describe a sexy guy, but not the feminine kind of guy, but a more masculine guy; one who you wouldn't identify as being gay if you saw him on the street.
1) If you see a hot guy, you say: "Woof!"

2) He's woofy!

no idea what you're saying here....woof...the sound a dog makes...Sly bans people...I think you are going off the rails here JFizz

Portland doesn't need 3 sports radio stations. Rip City Radio is last in the ratings and will continue to be with more moves like this. They keep losing their best talent & bring in guys that people don't like - Sheldon. Hate to say it, but they are the CSN of radio. The only good programming they have is Blazer games.

Someone better tell Sheldon to join the forum so people will have to stop insulting him.

I forget they exist unless it's blazers season. And that is their fault.

They all serve a purpose, or could. 1080 is your local "objective" station. 750 has the best national guys (and Clownzano). 620 should be local guys who relate to the fans, cater to the homers. That's what it was at first, with Wheels in the afternoon and Bunker/Danforth in the mornings. With the changes they've made over the past few months, they've completely eliminated their niche.

Jay Mohr is basically the only thing keeping that station alive at this point.

From a strategy standpoint....... Portland HATES Comcast..... so why would you go out and hire a Comcast guy?

I don't post here all the time, but reading this thread I am surprised at all the BE hate. I have never cared for BE, especially Dave, and when I made comments about so years ago I totally got lit up for it. People claiming how great he and the site were. This was when Ben still wrote there. Wasn't too one way or the other with him, but still. That blog has never appealed to me. SBN has some really good blogs and then some really not so good ones. BE seems cultish to me.

I think BE is hated because the writers there don't know what the fuck they're talking about half the time, and then the other half is them complicating simple topics to make the article long enough and to sound like they do know what they're talking about.

Ask our message board questions about cap holds, Early Bird Right contract limitations, how salaries are matched in sign and trades, etc. Then go ask BE writers. I bet not one writer there would know what to say to you. We have probably 10 posters or so that could ace that quiz.

I guess that goes for almost all media though, especially the national media, who thinks that the Lakers are gonna sign 8 max level players every summer and don't even know what a cap hold is.

I guess that's why you get a journalism degree. Being able to write (or talk) eloquently so that nobody knows you don't know shit is more important actually knowing shit. First Take with Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless is a prime example.

You do know that Coors Light costs $20 each sitting courtside, right? You'd need a separate fund raiser just for your beer tab.

Furthermore he would need a second open seat next to him to hold all the beers he plans on drinking! That's one hell of a fund raiser. Id start now!
