Neither?who do you want as backup PG?
Baldwin. Napiers shot is hands down better, but we have enough of that. We need lockdown D. Guys who get in stars faces. Not that Napier wont, but Baldwin already proved he can and will.
If we do keep baldwin, we HAVE to upgrade the SF backup though. Someone who can shoot.
Baldwin's been castrated?Baldwin.
No poll?
Ouch. I certainly hope not. I like his moxie.Baldwin's been castrated?
More bad ones too, but a lot of that is sample size!Napier is a tough defender. He has also had more "good" games than Baldwin.
But Baldwin is potentially a better fit next to either Dame or CJ. So I would roll the dice with him.
Is Napiers shot "hands down better" tho?

Bazz is definitely not a lockdown defender.Shabazz may be small but he's a lockdown defender.
He's a better defender than Baldwin.
That said, I'm choosing Baldwin. Just on size, potential, and size of contract.
I see him more like a pesky defender, he is aggressive, and does a good job of getting his hands on the ball, not a bad defender though.Bazz is definitely not a lockdown defender.

Neither?
Yep. Except that, for a month, he was shooting like Lillard or McCollum. And nice dig at Olshey there.I thought Shabazz showed improvement over the season and could be a super-poor-man's Lillard if Dame was out, but Stotts didn't seem to trust him.
Surely when other teams can find players like Quinn Cook and Fred VanVleet, we can do better (e.g. JALEN BRUNSON!)
Yep. Years ago when Olshey lost Aldridge and signed Aminu/Davis/Plumlee, I posted, he didn't address our main need on offense, a SF. Everyone told me that it would either come soon, or wasn't important because our guards were so good. Right. If we do keep baldwin, we HAVE to upgrade the SF backup though. Someone who can shoot.
Stotts played Napier in his 2 games more minutes than Baldwin IV in his 4 games.I think Stotts answered that question in the playoffs....
Every GM routinely picks up failed FAs, drafts, and re-signs players he already has. Since that's all Olshey does (never ever trades, not a negotiator/wheeler-dealer), they are considered big achievements around here.Baldwin for sure...Nice work Olshey.
Yes, Olshey only makes a move when he is forced by economics.I would keep Shabazz if he was cheap but I would keep Baldwin also. I don't think Shabazz will be cheap so Baldwin it is
I didn’t like Shabazz as much as others, his defense was ok, he was kind of a ball hog on offense, his shot was streaky at best.
It's called, playing the 1 position instead of the stupid 2 ("Wow, the black hole always shoots without hesitation after receiving the pass! Misses, but what an impressive shooter reputation!")he was hot to end last year and started out good I think, or had an early hot streak but then was marginal at best the rest of the year I think.
And I agree with @TorturedBlazerFan. He dribbles too much.
Napier is a tough defender.
By far our best thief. Gets steals in clusters, like 3 in 2 minutes. Easy to miss.pesky defender, he is aggressive, and does a good job of getting his hands on the ball, not a bad defender though.
Ridiculous. No comparison. Frazier is on borrowed time. And now for some reason.Bazz is another Tim Frazier undersized pt guard.
Inconclusive, need a larger sample size before I'd take Baldwin over Napier. Too many factors and unknowns. Depends on what Napier value around the league looks like.
Definitely Bazz. I don’t think Baldwin will stick in the league.
I think people forget Bazz had a hurt foot at the end of the season, which really hurt his shooting. I think if he does not hurt his foot, he does not have the slump. I would keep Bazz if we could, but don't think we will.
