I would be totally fine with thatIt will look something akin to Nurks last contract. 3 years $45 million with a fourth year player option. $15 million a year.

Nas quietly having a solid season, seems to be playing within himself, shooting very well, as he shakes the rust off from his long layoff. Would like to see him get more minutes
Some from Winslow for more offense I would hope, given our injuries and Dame out again there may be decent minutes available. Also this team is going to need a consolidation trade by the deadline, for example do we pay Hart AND Grant when we have guys like Sharpe and Naz who are way cheaper and need minutes? I think we pay Grant and as much as I love Hart he may be the odd man out unless we trade Simons, however, how can we trade Simons when Dame may be showing signs of wear and tear (more injuries) at 32. Now if we could pick up a much cheaper/capable backup PG I's be all for moving Simons and keeping Hart. When Payton comes back, where is Nas going to get minutes?
I'll say it right now. I don't think that there is any chance at all that Billups would allow Cronin to lose Hart. Some from Winslow for more offense I would hope, given our injuries and Dame out again there may be decent minutes available. then someone's likely "odd man out" and I think that would mean Simons which actually is my preference. we got too many SG/SF's and Payton has not even played yet. We are IMO overall better with Hart/Sharp starting at SG and/or SF with more size and D. Trade Simons for a big and get a good, more D oriented backup PG (don't think Keon's quite ready yet). May not happen this deadline but a decision will IMO be made next summerI'll say it right now. I don't think that there is any chance at all that Billups would allow Cronin to lose Hart.
