Nate wants Nic to develop his post game (and more updates on Batum's summer)

I have to wonder what sort of personal issues would make a poster here connect the words "pedantic" and "pederast".

Nik, seek help, mmmkay?

I've been gone for a couple months, but some things never change. PapaG/BGrantFan still loves to play the victim. Some people on this board are just too predictable.

Been a while since I went back and fourth on this forum with someone. I just felt like arguing. This place has been dead for like a month since it's the off-season.

I'm pointing an imaginary airsoft gun at you right now ...

Anyway... having Nic involved more in the offense can only be a good thing. He's long and versatile enough to handle it, so I'm glad the team is going this route. I'd also like to see him play more as it appeared that he'd be taken out for such long stretches, even after playing well.

I heard that Ed O. has a predilection toward young boys and girls. His mustache makes it all the more real. '78 Chevy Conversion Van?

ed o needs to post the nudes of girl in avy...we can all agree on that

Or, if not, she'd better be mature for her age. If she isn't, it's just sick. Sick and wrong.

She looks like she trying to get away from him, regardless of age. Congrats, young anonymous hottie, you're an avatar! Kinda pervy, isn't it?

"Why does the guy have his arm around me, and why is he taking a photo of it?"

I love how Batum is making big strides as an offensive player yet McMillan is using him completely wrong. Sorry, that doesn't match up.

What I love is the secret NBA coaching wisdom that is only found on message boards, that actual NBA coaches apparently are not privy to, but if they would just consult with message board posters, they'd all win championships.

Almost as much as I love message board posters who refuse to believe anyone on a message board knows anything about coaching.

the posters who are advocating posting up a guy who is being guarded by a similar sized player rather then one who is being guarded by a player a half foot shorter deserve to be mocked... sorry

I've been pretty frustrated since he came back that Batum has been under-utilized. I thought Nate should've played him more minutes, and given him more opportunities in the offense.

That said, I might have been wrong. Maybe Nate knew more about Batum's shoulder than I did, and he was just trying to get the most he could out of him. Even to the extent of not exploiting him against Nash in the playoffs.

Yeah, we might have gotten some more points from Batum in that series. But he might've needed the rest on the offensive end to recover from running through picks on defense. He had a cakewalk on offense, but he was in a nightmare position of having a bad shoulder while having to guard a PG who loves to use screens (not to mention Amare and Artest doing little and not-so-little things to aggravate the injury).

I think Nate just realized there was only so much you can ask of a 21 year old, and so he kept Batum out of the offense. You had Aldridge, Miller, Roy and Fernandez. Lots of good offense there (at least in theory). But not much in the way of perimeter defenders. We just couldn't risk it.

That pretty much jibes with Batum's quote about doing more to post up guards next year.

Batum was reported as not being able to lift his arm above his shoulder, and at the end of the season it was said he needed two months for his shoulder to completely heal. Fuck, he was non-committal to even playing in game 3 until he finally just said yes at one point. He was hurting and I again don't fault Nate for not relying on a 21 year old that has shown no ability to be relied on to create offense at the NBA level.
