NBA 2k8 coverboy to be Chris Paul?

Somebody took the picture 2k has, and the cut-out they are using as their "mystery player" has been revealed. Some guy used a picture editing program and pasted this Chris Paul picture in front of the cut-out to prove that it is 100% identical. Looks true to me.
 
He doesn't deserve to be on the cover......but ok.
 
Looks legit to me. But I dont think he really should be on it...if they want to sell they need a higher profile player.
 
Who really gives a damn about who is on the cover? I buy the game for the gameplay; I barely remember who was on what each year...

At the end of the day, the coverboy really shouldn't effect the decision to buy it or not, although I'm sure it does to some people... for some reason. What's the difference if Chris Paul is on the cover or if LeBron James is on the cover? It's still the same game, and a <u>much</u> better game than Live.
 
As long as it's not Shaq again, I'm fine with it...EDIT: Didn't Madden do something like this, but the player on the mystery cover wasn't the one who was chosen to be on the cover? I don't know what year it was or anything, just something I thought I remembered.
 
Chris Paul on the cover!!!!!!!! Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!Actually, I could care less, as long as the game is solid I'll buy it....

Yeh I was just about to post this sum1 posted this on 2k and I was going to copy it but are u guys sure thats what the picture is going to be like they prob just put that just for show

Gilbert Arenas is the better player, so Live will be a better game.

I like the choice, better than Shaq. They could put fricken PFF on the cover and I would like it better than Shaq on it again.

Chris Paul is a good choice, I don't have a problem with him getting the cover.
 
I do, he didnt even have half a decent season...he was too plagued with injuries. Lebron would have been a GREAT coverboy. For some reason people think this guy should be the spokesman for everything

Now I bet Bron will be on Live 09. Chris Paul isnt too bad though I guess. D12 would've been nice too.
 
the thing is, getting lebron to be the coverboy costs alotta money, especially since lebron is a greedy ass
 
they have to sign a contract with that athlete first. they try to get the one that has the best marketing potential, young guys.

I don't have any problem with it being Chris Paul but there could be better choices. Paul had another season where he showed tons of potential but injuries slowed him and the Hornets from getting to the playoffs. I thought that they would go with a guy like Baron Davis or even LeBron James, guys who caught the attention of the world druing the playoffs. Either way, at least it's not Shaq. I'll be buying NBA live 08 due to Arenas being on the cover and claiming that it is going to be better than all of the other live's.
