I just had Dwight Howard shoot 17/17 against me in All-Star difficulty. You can set it to automatically double team a specific opponent but it's never quick enough. Then down the other end is one of my absolute pet hates, the way the AI can double team a moving player and get him suffocated immediately.

Sounds like a poo Game TBH. I mght have to compare Reviews and get live 09
 
I WILL buy Live 09 soon.

I was playing again last night and I'm tired of some of the shit that goes on. My players play like high schoolers sometimes and its ridiculous. Whenever people drive the lane against two 7-footers (Rasheed and Dirk), I can time the block perfectly and they'll push my guy aside and just make the layup OR they call a foul when no contact was made. But on the other end my guards will fall to the ground driving the lane and nothing is called. Then my big men can't push anyone at all whereas I'm getting hustled by people like Foster and Swift in the post....wtf is that?!

In Live 08, I played a fast paced, passing game. That was much more fun than fast breaks that become slow.
 
The thing that puts me off the general comments. Mainly about the Sliders. I don't play B'ball games too often and I'm not the biggest Brain on it but i enjoy playing it. Having to tweak the hell out of the sliders will just piss me off TBH. I'll wait till you get Live DY and I'll probably go on your and some other peoples recomendations.

Only time before this that I played a 2k bball game was 2k3 the one with AI on the cover. Other than that I have Live 98 with Antoine Walker on it then I have every Live since 2005, not including 09. I shouldn't have defected.

Lol but sometimes it better. Take Football games. I played Fifa up to 2003 then i "defected" to Pro Evo 3 all the way to Pro Evo 6. But Pro evo 2008 was not very good and i changed to Fifa 08 and now have 09 and it is vastly greater then the previously better Pro Evo

I tried it out of peer pressure from everyone either here on the board or my friends.....Live was just always so fun and fast. Like, I play casually, and really so I can mess with lineups thru fantasy drafts.
 
This idiot is pausing the game and stuff to try to get me to quit. I have a big enough lead I could just leave the room and win.

Lol is there not a limit on how many pauses there are?

On Fifa you can only pause it four times and that lasts 40 seconds each pause,
 
Even with all the issues I have with the game, it's much better than Live. This game is starting to grow on me, I like it.
 
Have had a few more goes but I'm trading it in this weekend. Absolute abortion of a game and very disappointing how downhill this series has gone.
 
Just save up a couple hundred, sell your video games/console, and build a gaming pc off newegg, it's easy. Now is the best time, I built one in May for $690. You can build a badass rig for $650. I played 2k9 on 360 and PS3 (32" HDTV) and it looked like PS2 graphics.

I have my computer hooked up to my 32" LCD TV, and play 2k9 with a wireless Xbox 360 controller.

This game was only $20 on PC...coughfreecough, the online mode sucks, just run the 82 game season. The inbound glitch wont be a problem next season.

PC games this year:
NBA 2k9
GTA 4
that James Bond/Spider-Man game
that Need For Speed game
Call of Duty - World at War

There are some other good ones, Team Fortess 2 is only $20 and it's worth every penny.

I want to play Dead Space, anyway. I might buy 2k9 again in a couple of months for a low price.

Seems a little pointless. Why don't you just hang on to it. You never know. I Stupidly traded in 2K8 a couple months ago then after watching the Celtics Cavs game i wanted to play it. Had to settle With 2k7

I can sell 2k9 for $31! Shut up! I want Dead Space, Fallout 3, and probably COD5. 2k9 can wait.:ghoti:
 
I got the game but i can't figure out how to dunk on the ps3, can anyone help?
 
Love how often the rosters are updated. NHL 09 updates like once every two months while NBA 2k9 updates the day of trades.
