I really don't want either of these teams to win. The battle of Durant vs Lebron will be epic.

Will be a great series no doubt with the two best players in the league going head to head. If Durant was on any other Team, I would definitely be rooting for him.

The Heat complain to the refs a shit ton, and the Thunder flop a shit ton. I'll only know for sure once game one starts.

Can't stand the egomaniacs in Wade and LeBron. Oh, and Eddy Curry sitting at the end of the bench collecting a paycheck, it's a disgrace.

Worse then Curry stealing a check in Clay stealing a team! Go Heat!

I should have put money on this because I called this series when the playoffs started. Welcome to David Stern's league.

Hard to Hate Durant and easy to hate on Lebron's Heat...

The Heat's Ego however, even with Pat Riley at the helm, pales in comparison to the Ego of the NBA in keeping the Sonics historical records intact at OKC and naming Clay Benett chairman of the NBA's relocation committee. Disgusting, like a stink that won't wear off.

One vote for the Heat.

Miami. I'd rather the Heat's way to getting a title be rewarded than the owners of the Zombie Sonics be rewarded for what they did.

I'm rooting for a severe OKC tornado to decimate both franchises and the OKC fan base.

OK, that's a bit harsh. I cannot root for either team, but I'm rooting against Miami.

Wow I thought I would be in the minority. But I would much rather root for a player who abandoned his home town than a franchise that did. Go Heat

I don't dislike the Thunders players or management and think they have a lot of likeable and class acts. with that being David their lying back stabbing ownership is another thing. As much as I can't stand the egos on the Heat and want Lebron to end up ringless I can't stand the thought of Clay Bennit being handed the championship trophy so as much as this pains me, GO HEAT!

The Heat have Battier & James to tagteam guarding Durant, the Thunder counter with Durant Sefolosha & Harden to put on LBJ... I don't see anyone but Durant having a chance. If I'm the Heat I go small a lot with Bosh at the 5 forcing their Bigs out on the perimeter and opening up slashing lanes.

Put another down for being anti-OKC fan too, so go Heat I guess. But I'll be mostly be happy about good hoops if they're being played. It sure looks like a great matchup on paper

James is the best player--by far--in the NBA, and I wouldn't mind seeing him get a ring.

The Thunder seem like nice guys and I don't even mind that they changed cities (I think Seattle and Washington just failed to step up to keep them)... but I am pissed that they have been SO blessed in terms of injuries while our team has been crippled (if you will) by them.

Go Heat.

This was my NBA nightmare this season: LeBron James or Kevin Durant will be an NBA champion.

As much as I despise Clay Bennett, I'd like to see a team that built their team the right way win it. This whole superstars feeling the need to get together should not be rewarded.

Mainly Durant envy (petty, I admit) but I'm for the Heat as well.

With the exception of Lakers, these were the teams I wanted least.

I keep going back and forth. On the one hand, rooting for OKC is like the person you didn't marry winning the Nobel prize while the one you did turns out to be a chump. On the other hand, a team that wasn't built but was awarded (Wade is the one I'm OK with). I loathe fashionable teams on principle.

And the A's are rediscovering their inner suckitude.

I think I won't watch sports for a while. But the news is too depressing.

Time to buy some more books.

I want the Heat to win, and I think they will. OKC fans and even just Miami haters are way too confident, I hate it. On other boards I see people saying Bosh is just a finesse forward and Ibaka and Perkins are dominant big men... What a joke.

The Heat are now the underdog and when all else is equal I always root for the underdog.

Gotta go with the West Coast since the Lakers aren't in the finals. Always root for West.

This

and

well

Fuck James, not one, not two , not three, not four....

until there as a poll option for "both teams contract raging mouth herpes and get arrested for betting against themselves and are banned from the game for life" i refuse to participate

What West Coast? OKC is nowhere near the West Coast!

Strip away the drama and the Heat are called “evil” because their star players exercised free agency and—agree or disagree with their decision—took control of their own careers. The Thunder are praised for doing it the “right way,” but no franchise is more caked in original sin than the team from Oklahoma City. Their owners, Clay Bennett and Aubrey McClendon, with an assist from NBA Commissioner David Stern, stole their team with the naked audacity of Frank and Jesse James from the people of Seattle.

Bennett, Stern and McClendon lied repeatedly that they would make every effort to keep the team in Seattle, McClendon however gave the game away in 2007, when he said to the Oklahoma City Journal Record, “We didn’t buy the team to keep it in Seattle, we hoped to come here…. We started to look around and at that time the Sonics were going through some ownership challenges in Seattle. So Clay, very artfully and skillfully, put himself in the middle of those discussions and to the great amazement and surprise to everyone in Seattle, some rednecks from Oklahoma, which we’ve been called, made off with the team.”

While Bennett said all the right things about keeping the Sonics in Seattle, a team executive dinner on September 9, 2006, tells you all you need to know about the man and his motives. On that fine evening, the Sonics management, all held over from the previous ownership regime, all Pacific Northwesters, gathered in Oklahoma to meet the new boss. Bennett made sure they were sent to a top restaurant, and picked up the bill. As the Seattle execs sat down, four plates of a deep fried appetizer were put on the table. After filling their mouths with the crispy goodness, one asked the waitress what this curious dish with a nutty flavor actually was. It was lamb testicles. Bennett laughed at their discomfort and the message was clear: the Sonics could eat his balls.

yeah, this fucking sucks

rooting for lebron to suck, but the heat win despite him

Yeah I was a miami fan until the bullshit with LJ. Now I want them to fail each and every time. It sucks about OKC and how the Sonic fans were thrown under the bus; but in reality what's worse? I personally think the players are all pretty good peeps. They maybe a little cocky; but they have reason to be. They are a damn good team!

I love the "They can eat my balls" comment on the article.

I want the Heat to lose just for the onslaught of ridicule that will come his way the rest of the offseason. Oh the drama. If Durant loses, the story wont last a week. But LeBron jokes and rumors about trades and coaching positions will be non-stop if the Heat lose.

I will be rooting for the Thunder. It hurts to see Durant succeed this way, but I'd rather see him do well than LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, whom I cannot stand. Go Thunder!

I guess, if you pulled my toenails, I'd go with Miami for the hoodie team shot.
