Not a big board but rated on chance to be a multiple all-star pick (which means some will bust and I will be wrong on roughly half):
1. Shaedon Sharpe
2. Chet Holmgren
3. Jaden Ivey
4. Jabari Smith
5. Jalen Duren
Not going to go past 5 but I will say that Bennedict Mathurin is an honorable mention

In the thread where everyone was calling you a Chet homer you said Chet wasn’t your #1 prospect… what changed?

I’ve stated before Sharpe will be a star, I think he has the best chance to be “the guy” in this class. Being a huge UK fan I’ve been high in him since Cal recruited him. I wish he was going back with Oscar next season but if he’s there at 6 I think we have to take him.

1. Banchero
2. Smith
3. Ivey
4. Holmgren
5. Sharpe
6. Murray
7. Griffin
8. Matherin
9. Williams
10. Duren

Interesting. That is very close to my list, except that I would drop Sharpe to 10 and move everybody else up one. (and IMHO even that is a big gamble) One-on-one drills and high-school games are no substitue for 5-on-5 against real competition. Every other guy on that list has a better on-court resume than Sharpe.

Still think it's really beneficial to do tiers.

1. Banchero
2. Smith
3. Ivey
4. Holmgren
5. Murray
6. Eason
7. Davis
8. Mathurin
9. Sharpe
10. Agbaji

So this is my Big Board top 10 from a Blazer-Centric point of view, not who will be the best. I'm all about BPA unless the talent difference between BPA and our need for size isn't massive. If the difference isn't extreme, I'm taking the player with more size and athleticism. Therefore, here is my list for order the Blazers should target guys with three tiers is as follows:

1. Smith
2. Banchero
3. Sharpe

4. Ivey
5. Duren
6. Holmgren

7. Murray
8. Mathurin
9. Sochan
10. Eason

I don't really like taking Ivey or Sharpe for the Blazers, especially Ivey, but they are the BPA by a large margin over the taller guys who come after them.

I said it once, so I’ll say it twice.
Once teams get him in for a workout my draft hot take is that he is going to be a top 4 pick. Maybe even top 3. Also depends on how the lottery shakes out. Could see him going #1.

Kinda reminds me of the NFL draft.
Aidan Hutchinson has all the production.
But the Jags are likely gonna take the DE from Georgia #1 who had a fraction of the production but *off the chart* measurables.

I don't have a hot take yet this year. My hot take last year was Scottie Barnes who I projected here as the best talent in the draft. Today he was named ROY

If the Blazers determine that a guy like Sharpe is the highest ceiling by a wide margin, I hope they do take him.

As much as I think the world of Nassir, he's no guarantee and we need more information. Even if Nassir plays every minute, we still need a backup for him which Sharpe would take.

If Portland can find a buy low deal on Simmons or Grant, it will look like a really good roster.

Maybe the expectation is he'll be more Tobias Harris (no All Star selections) than Carmelo Anthony.
correct. Not a bad player just no multiple all star games for Banchero but what do I (or anyone) know?

Since the Blazers are going to have a top 4 pick, that's very promising

In the thread where everyone was calling you a Chet homer you said Chet wasn’t your #1 prospect… what changed?

Well, ya see, people were saying he was a Chet homer, and now it's been a few days of people not saying he was a Chet homer, so it's like it never happened.

I've changed my mind multiple times. The top 3 are close. What changed is I took a look at bigs than panned out verse bigs that turned into busts and the 4 deciding factors were:
Length
Rim Protection
Shooting
Passing

Chet is elite in two of them, good at one, and has the potential to be good at the other.

I didn't have Suggs higher than consensus last year and I'm lower on Timme than most. But I'm a homer because I have the #1 player out of the class of 2021 and the ESPN #1 player, as my #1? I haven't been higher than consensus on the last 3 Zags prospects. Hachimura I thought got taken a little too high as well.
