HCP, I'd like to take a moment to thank you. Your contribution to this forum is unmatched. Sometimes I wonder where S2 would be without you.

Re: GM Poll. No love is right, another year of flying under the radar. And speaking of Love, can't wait for LMA to make people eat some crow this year.

We all know he contributes so much to this forum, but when you point it out too much he might stop trying or start wanting his cut!

FINALLY....somebody acknowledges me for my greatness! And yes, I'm watching Minny right now playing the Celtics. Portland vs Minny this year are going to be some good games!

If by good you mean more continued Trailblazer dominance of that awful franchise, then yes, yes they will.

I'm not so sure.....they have some talent. Won't be as easy as it has been.

Which active player will make the best head coach someday?
1. Chauncey Billups, Detroit -- 32.1%
2. Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers -- 17.9%
3. Shane Battier, Miami -- 14.3%
4. Derek Fisher, Oklahoma City; Steve Nash, L.A. Lakers -- 7.1%
Also receiving votes: Steve Blake, L.A. Lakers; Mike Dunleavy, Chicago; DeAndre Jordan, L.A. Clippers; Mike Miller, Memphis; Jason Terry, Brooklyn; Earl Watson, Utah

First, DeAndre Jordan???? WTF?

Second, Earl Watson plays for Portland. Some one wasn't paying attention this off season.

I don't know that I see a problem being left off of any of the things we were left off of. I don't think we're contenders. I think they fairly rated LMA as the 4th-best PF (though if you count Durant as a PF like someone did, then LMA's #5).

I don't think any of our guys are going to break out more than Nic (who was called out in "International Player Break-Out")
I don't think Dame's a top 3 PG yet.
SG? SF? C? Please.
LMA's ranked among the best PFs.
Maybe we should've been in "Best Offseason moves", but we didn't do anything sexy like the other teams did.
Lopez should've gotten a vote as "underrated player acquisiton". A legit Center rounds out a very good starting lineup for us.
We don't have a great defense, great defensive players, or a great coach.
I think we could've scored a vote or to in "fun to watch" and "homecourt advantage". But that's nitpicking.

We should have been listed on "Which team has the best home-court advantage?" at the very least.

Best one was this question......Which player makes the most of limited natural ability?

All the players named were white, I fucking love it. Probably going to piss off ZAGS!

Jared Dudley is white?

I read the survey and ... it looks pretty close 🤷

Which categories am I supposed to be outraged or disappointed?

None really. We just aren't on ANYBODY'S radar. Maybe deservedly so.

I think we're going to surprise some people. I don't think playoffs are outside the realm of possibility, and I think we could even finish higher than some people project.

I agree NB3.....46-48 wins......playoffs.

I didn't have much issue with most of this either, except I would have liked to see Meyers mentioned for the 'best interior defender in the NBA'.

Also, the fact Portland didn't get any mention for best home court advantage, but Miami did, seems laughable to me, more so the fact Miami got mentioned. I've seen those crowds and they're not any better than the Lakers.

Some of the 'Also Recieving Votes' picks were pretty funny: Sacramento will be the funnest team to watch? DeAndre Jordan would make a good coach? Matt Barnes the toughest player in the league? I think one of the GM's wasn't taking this survey very seriously...

We got lots of love. Crabbe, Aldridge, Batum, and McCollum (twice) were all mentioned.

So, according to that link, the NBA GM's think that Aldridge is tied for the 4th best PF in the league with Blake Griffin. Of course, they list LeBron as a power forward.

That's nothing! They said all the guys with the most steals are Mexicans!

Love voted the 2nd best PF. Prolly going to piss off HCP.

Nate McMillan is the 4th best assistant coach in the league!

I spent an hour reading that article. There's a lot to debate about as you read.

I would just like to point out that I got bashed for saying that Aldridge wasn't the best power forward, and now the GM's rank him as tied for 4th.

We're under the radar just like Damian Lillard was at the draft. It's all good, in addition to rooting for the Blazers I like rooting for the perceived underdog. It'll just be that much sweeter when we're the 7th seed.

I've got to say that one thing I took away from this is that NBA GMs aren't much better than a bunch of fans. I didn't see any great insight here and some of the conclusions just seemed bad. And this is AFTER David Kahn is fired.
