The drinking age itself is not a blue law. Banning the sale of alcohol on Sunday would be the correct example. A "blue law" is a law designed to ban the sale of certain things on Sunday for religious standards. (These laws are unconstitutional IMHO)

The idea for a drinking age came from the blue laws and for the same reason.

So does the drinking age of 21 mean that people are somehow not mature until they're 21? Do tell!

Then tell why people under 21 are allowed to own and carry firearms or smoke tobacco.

FOX "news" level of reporting there Denny. :press: It's the equivalent of the "some people are saying" brand of news.

"some people are saying Derrick was lying and that he was really in a gang fight!"

:smiley-whatever:

How about some HuffPost level of reporting?

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose moved quickly to try to tamp down a growing controversy over a photo circulating online of him flashing gang signs.

Fire arms like handguns are a minimum age of 21; which requires more attention. Hand guns are concealable; so more responsibility is needed to own a handgun.

Smoking only hurts yourself. A smoker cannot effect heavy machinery that can kill others. And most states are now prohibiting smoke to be in areas that would effect non smokers.

The alcohol and "blue law" theory must be proven with facts. Explain and provide links on how this "blue law" was stemmed to promote the "21 and over law" otherwise your comment is just here say.

Strawman master still at work I see.

WTF do handguns require "more attention" than any other kind of gun?

There were no drinking age laws before the end of prohibition. Do your own research about what prohibition was and why it was enacted and who was behind it.

I don't need to do research, since you made the claim; you must provide the evidence to support your claim. Take some of your own advice.

I do like some empirical evidence of such claims.

From what I see, some people are just idiots. Some who have money, some who lose it all.

Seems more likely to be an upbringing thing and who the people hook up with to trust with their finances.

But that's all drawn from anecdotal evidence. I don't care to make a poll, I'm not the one making any sort of claim. You are.

http://smartgunlaws.org/minimum-age-to-purchase-possess-firearms-policy-summary/

Every day in the U.S., guns cause the deaths of 20 children and young people under the age of 25.1 In 2005, 3,027 young people age 19 and under died from gunshot wounds.2 Of these deaths, 1,972 were homicides; 822 were suicides; and 173 were the result of unintentional shootings. Firearms were used in 46% of suicide deaths among persons under 25 in 2005.4

Obviously they took the report that most gun related deaths were from ages of 21 and younger. Its much easier to shoot yourself or accidentally shoot others with a handgun. They are easier to load and easier to fire.

Use some fucking common sense Denny! LMAO!
