I think he was talking about the playoffs. What are those facts? He has 1-12 record against them.
He did not specify playoffs, but it appears his career best scoring splits do include playoff games. I don't see playoff splits by teams, and frankly, they probably wouldn't be great for comparison sake, but with a quick glance of the game logs, I think it's safe to say he's been less productive against a couple other teams in the playoffs (Pelicans or Spurs) than he has been against the Warriors.

You also brought up the win/loss record, which is a team measurement, not an individual one. As you know, one player, playing with a significantly better supporting cast, would have a major advantage when it comes to wins/losses. Festus Ezeli has a better head to head record against Dame, but I don't think it he was more successful in those series.

They are in a 1 possession game against a #6 seed at home.

In their 1st post season game on 17 years against the covid defending Champs. Not bad.

Shouldn’t the #3 seed beat a #6 though?

At least the Kings won't get swept by the #6 seed like our local team did.... against a team that hadn't won a playoff series.

The Knicks have killed Cleveland on the board

Hart 17/10 (half those boards offensive !) on great splits, and has done all the little (and not so little) things too
Huh, might be nice to have a player like that

I know but man 17 years w/o being in the playoffs and beating the defending world champs at full strength is nice for Sac Town. Their arena was rocking!

One thing is for certain. I will be watching the rest of the Kings/Warriors series. You can bet the Warriors feel like they could have got that game. The last couple looks Curry had didn't fall and we all know they could have. Wiggins wide open miss from the corner might not happen next time either. Happy for the Kings but that series isn't over and they are playing the best offensive team in the league.
Kind of thinking Warriors win the next 4 straight?

Hoping for Grizzlies in straight sets, starting today, with zero apparent need for a Bridges or OG upgrade.

Big reason TEAM loses is because Warriors shut down Dame in playoffs. They’re tied together.

Thus the rest of the team couldn't do anything. They needed a team to win.

You proved their point lol

Both of these teams make some of the dumbest decisions ever

Just because a narrative is repeated over and over, doesn't mean it's true.

Dames Career Playoff Averages
25.7 4.5 6.2 1.2 0.3

Dame's Playoff Averages vs Golden State
27.6 4.5 6.5 1.2 0.2

So in summary:
  • Original poster stated the Warriors stop Dame
    • The stats point out that Dame might have more individual success against the Warriors than any team int he league
  • KingSpeed assumes the OP was referencing the playoffs and states the Warriors shut down Dame in the playoffs
    • The stats point out that Dame is probably slightly above average vs the Warriors in the playoffs in comparison to other teams
So let's file this narrative in the trash next to the "Steph kills the Blazers in the playoffs because we played drop coverage" despite the data also suggesting Steph has had near average success against Portland in the playoffs, despite tgoing against the Blazers poor guard defenders.

The Warriors team success against Portland has been due to them having 3-4 all-stars against the Blazers 1. They've always been more talented, it's that simple.

Just had a break here at work and am catching the end of this Grizz game…..

Who needs Lebron when you have the undrafted Rookie Reeves

Wow a number 7 seed just won on the road. Nobody talking about this on here. Didn’t see that one coming did we?

Grizzlies ain’t got a chance in this series with the injuries they have. Not sure Ja comes back from that one?
